학문 목적 한국어 학습자를 위한 이메일 쓰기 교육 방안 연구 : 공손 표현 사용을 중심으로 = A Study on Teaching Methods of E-mail Writing for KFL Learners with Academic Purpose : Focused on Using Polite Expressions

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 한국어 교육에서 쓰기 교육에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으며, 학문 목적 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 하는 한국어 쓰기 교육 연구도 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 특히, 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들을 위한 쓰기 교육은 주로 장르 중심 접근법을 활용하여 이루어지고 있다. 그리하여 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들을 위한 쓰기 교육 연구는 다양한 학술적 글을 대상으로 이뤄졌지만 이메일 쓰기에 대하여는 연구가 전무한 실정이다.
이메일은 학술적 텍스트는 아니지만 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들의 대학 생활과 밀접한 연관이 있다. 또한 이메일은 공손 표현을 적절하게 사용하는 것이 중요시되는 텍스트이다. 따라서 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들이 교수나 조교, 선배들에게 이메일을 쓸 때 도움을 줄 수 있도록 이메일 쓰기 교육 방안을 제시하는 것이 필요하다.
이를 위해 이 연구에서는 학문 목적 한국어 학습자의 이메일에서 나타난 공손 표현을 중심으로 이메일을 분석하고 그것을 바탕으로 이메일 쓰기 교육 방안을 마련하고자 하였다.
제2장에서는 기존의 연구들을 고찰함으로써 연구의 이론적 배경을 마련하였다. 먼저 한국어의 공손 표현에 대하여 경어법을 사용하는 것, 호칭어를 사용하는 것, 간접화행을 사용하는 것, 관례어를 사용하는 것, 완곡어를 사용하는 것에 대하여 살펴보았다. 이어서 이메일의 개념에 대하여 살펴보고 이메일의 의사소통적 특성과 이메일의 매체적 특성에 대하여 살펴보았다.
제3장에서는 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들의 이메일에서 나타난 공손 표현을 중심으로 이메일을 분석하였는데, 먼저 이메일을 생산한 학습자들의 인적 사항과 자료 수집 과정 및 규모를 밝히고 경어법, 호칭어, 간접화행, 관례어, 완곡어의 다섯 가지 분석 기준으로 이메일을 분석하였다. 그리고 분석 결과는 오류율을 통해 난이도 등급을 매겨 정리하였다.
제4장에서는 먼저 현재 한국어교육에서 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들을 대상으로 이메일 쓰기 교육이 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지 교재 분석을 통해 살펴보았고, 이메일 분석 결과를 바탕으로 교육 내용을 정리하고 장르 중심 접근법을 활용하여 교육 방법을 제시하였다. 그리고 최종적으로 이메일 쓰기 수업의 교안을 제시하여 이메일 쓰기 교육의 실제를 제안하였다.
이 연구는 최종적으로 제시한 이메일 쓰기 수업 교안의 효과성을 검증하지 못하였다는 한계가 있다. 그러나 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들을 위한 이메일에 관심을 가진 최초의 연구라는 점과 학습자들이 실제 생산한 이메일을 분석하여 그것을 토대로 교육 방안을 제시하였다는 것에 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As recently KFL education has been interested in writing education and KFL writing education studies for KFL learners with academic purpose has been conducted. Especially, writing education for KFL learners with academic purpose mostly has been conducted that used genre based approach. So writing education studies for KFL learners with academic purpose has been conducted to variety academic text, but has not been conducted to e-mail writing.
E-mail is not academic text, but correlate to campus life of KFL learners with academic purpose. And E-mail put emphasis on using polite expressions. Therefore it is need that suggest an teaching methods of e-mail writing to supporting when KFL learners with academic purpose writing e-mail to professor, teaching or research assistant and senior.
So, this study analyzed e-mail of KFL learners with academic purpose on polite expressions, and suggested teaching methods of e-mail writing that based on it.
In chapter two, as considering to existing studies this study’s theoretical background established. First, investigated polite expressions of Korean that using honorification, using address form, using indirect statements, using conventional routines and using euphemism. Next, investigated conception of e-mail and communicative characteristics of e-mail, medium characteristics of e-mail.
In chapter three, analyzed e-mail of KFL learners with academic purpose on polite expressions. First, determined personal data of KFL learners with academic purpose that writing e-mail, data collecting process and data scale. Next analyzed e-mail of KFL learners with academic purpose on honorification, address form, indirect statements, conventional routines and euphemism. And organized analysis result to level of difficulty through error rate.
In chapter four, first, investigated e-mail writing education for KFL learners with academic purpose in KFL education through analysis textbook. And suggested education contents based on analysis result and suggested teaching methods using genre based approach. Lastly suggested lesson plan of writing e-mail.
This study has some problem that didn’t verify lesson plan of writing e-mail. But it is the first study that being interested in e-mail for KFL learners with academic purpose. And analyzed genuine data that e-mail of KFL learners with academic purpose writing, and suggested teaching methods based on it.
