그림책 읽기 활동이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 그림책 읽기 활동이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 한다. 유아들에게 그림책 읽기 활동을 실시 유아의 창의성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 밝혀 창의성 향상에 효과적인 교수 방법을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다.
본 연구의 대상은 서울시에 소재한 어린이집 두 곳을 무선 선정하여
만 4세 유아 30명을 무선 선발 하였다. 연구에 사용된 검사 도구는 '유아용통합창의성검사'(이경화, 2012)이다. 본 연구의 실험기간은 2013년 10월 08일 〜11월 15일까지 총 6주간 주 2회 실시 하였으며, 총 실험 차시는 12차시로 1차시 수업시간은 약 30분 이었다. 실험집단 유아에게는 그림책 읽기 활동이 이루어졌고, 통제집단의 유아들에게는 일상생활이 이루어지도록 하였다.
사전검사는 두 집단 간의 동질성을 확인하기 위해, 사후검사는 실험효과에 대한 검정을 위해 t-test를 실시하였다. 그리고 결과 처리를 위해 SPSS WIN 18.0 프로그램을 사용하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 창의적 능력의 하위영역인 언어영역은 실험결과 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 언어영역의 하위요인인 상상력, 유창성, 독창성에서는 유의미한 차이가 나타났다.
둘째, 창의적 능력의 하위 영역인 도형 영역에서도 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 연속성 및 연결성, 완성도, 새로운 요소 첨가, 주제, 비관습성에 유의한 차이가 있었다.
셋째, 창의적 성격 부분에서는 그림책 읽기 활동을 적용한 집단 실험집단과 일반 집단 통제집단 간의 큰 차이는 없었다.
이러한 결과를 볼 때 그림책 읽기 활동은 창의적 능력부분의 언어창의성과 도형창의성에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다.
이상의 연구결과를 종합해 볼 때 그림책 읽기 활동은 유아의 창의성 향상에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 어린이집의 누리과정과 연계해서 활동한다면 그림책 읽기 활동이 창의성에 긍정적임을 확인할 수 있었다.
본 연구의 결과로 유아교육 현장의 창의성 향상을 위한 하나의 방법으로서 그림책 읽기 활동의 활용을 기대 해 본다.

The Effects of Picture Book Reading Activities on the Creativity of Young Children

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of The Picture Book Reading Activities on creativity of Young Children.
So, the research problems of this study were as follows.

1. How does Picture Book Reading Activities affect on young children’s creative thinking ability?
2. How does Picture Book Reading Activities affect on young children's creative personality?

The objects are 15 children, 5 year class, enlisted in B nurseries located in Seoul and 15 children, 5 year class, enlisted in C nurseries located in Seoul, total 30 children.

They were divided into 2 groups: the experimental group and the control group with 15 children each.

Then, the children of experimental B group were applied ‘The Picture Book Reading Activities’ for 5 weeks of 10 segment, but control group received ordinary education program.

The test tool in the study was ‘Integrate Creativity for young children(Lee, 2012)’ and it was used for the pre-test and post-test. for the data processing, SPSS win 18.0 program was used.

So the results of this study are as follows.
the young children in the experimental group exposed to the Picture Book Reading Activities showed higher overall scores than the children who were in the control group exposed to an ordinary education program.
Creative Total (language creativity, drawing creativity) of creative ability has improved in the experimental group with the Picture Book Reading Activities as compared to the control group with an ordinary education program. However, no significant difference was found in term of creative personality.
1. The experimental group performed better than the control group in fluency, originality, imagination which are sub-factors of language creativity.
2. The experimental group performed better than the control group in completion, connectivity and continuity, theme, unconventionality, new elements and subject of figure which are sub-factors of drawing creativity.

3. The experimental group showed more positive impact in the part of the than the control group in this study.
After Picture Book Reading Activities, young children’s creativity development show a significant difference statistically

Therefore, we conclude that Picture Book Reading Activities can be an effective tool to improve the creativity of young children.
