또한, 유아의 자아탄력성은 DECA(Devereux Early Childhood Assesment)를 번안한 구희정(2010)의 자아탄력성 검사를 사용하여 측정하였다.

This study aims to look into the effects of integrated activities using picture books on young children’s interpersonal problem-solving abilities and ego-resilience. In order to achieve this goal, the following research questions were set up.
Research Question 1. What are the effects of integrated activities using picture books on young children’s interpersonal problem-solving abilities (alternative solution thought, consequential thought, causal thought and means-ends thought)?
Research Question 2. What are the effects of integrated activities using picture books on young children’s ego-resilience (attachment, initiative and self-control)?
The subjects of this study were young children aged 5 in two classes at G. Nursery School and J. Nursery School in Seoul, and 18 young children in G. Nursery School were assigned to an experimental group while 18 young children in J. Nursery School to a control group. Integrated activities using picture books were carried out in the experimental group over 7 class hours for 7 weeks while listening activities in the picture books were carried out in the control group, which were selected as the integrated activities using picture books.
This study used a test on interpersonal problem-solving abilities developed by Park Chan-ok(1987) so as to measure young children’s interpersonal problem-solving abilities, based on the test of Interpersonal Cognitive Problem-solving Skill(ICPS), developed by Spivack et al (1976). In addition, the young children’s ego-resilience was measured using an ego-resilience test that Koo Hee-jung(2010) adopted Devereux Early Childhood Assessment(DECA). An ANCOVA on the collected materials was carried out with the result of a pretest as covariance and the effects of the integrated activities using picture books on the young children’s interpersonal problem-solving abilities and ego-resilience were verified.
The summary of the results of this study is as follows:
First, it was found that the experimental group in which the integrated activities using picture books were carried out showed more positive changes in the promotion of their interpersonal problem-solving abilities than the control group did. In particular, the group showed statistically significant results in sub-factors of interpersonal problem-solving abilities, alternative solution thought and means-ends thought, which is interpreted that the integrated activities using picture books positively improved young children’s interpersonal problem-solving abilities.
Second, it was found that the experimental group in which the integrated activities using picture books were carried out showed more positive changes in the promotion of ego-resilience than the control group did. All sub-factors of ego-resilience, attachment, initiative and self-control showed statistically significant results, which is interpreted that the integrated activities using picture books positively improved the young children’s ego-resilience.
