    본 연구는 자살 성향이 있는 여고생을 대상으로 마음챙김 명상 프로그램을 실시하여 자살생각, 우울, 주관적 웰빙에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 서울에 위치한 D여자고등학교에 재학 중인 여고생들을 연구의 대상으로 선정하였고 마음챙김 명상 집단 10명, 대기-통제집단 7명으로 구별하여 배정하였다. 마음챙김 명상집단은 한 회기 당 60분씩 6주 동안 8회기의 프로그램으로 진행하였다. 대기-통제집단은 다른 처치를 하지 않았다. 측정 도구로 수용행동척도-Ⅱ(AAQ-Ⅱ), 자살생각(SIQ), 우울(CES-D), 삶의 만족 척도(SWLS), 삶의 만족 예상 척도(LSES), 긍정정서와 부정정서 척도(PANAS)를 사용하였다. 프로그램 효과가 지속되는지 알아보기 위해서 프로그램이 종결된 지 4주가 지난 후에 마음챙김 명상집단을 대상으로 추수검사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 마음챙김 명상집단이 대기-통제집단에 비해 자살생각[t = -2.42, p<.05], 부정정서 (t = 2.24, p<.05)가 유의하게 감소하였고, 삶의 만족(t = 1.84, p<.05)은 유의하게 증가하였다. 반면에 우울, 삶의 만족 예상, 긍정정서는 집단 간 사전-사후의 차이가 유의하지 않았다. 추수검사에서는 마음챙김 명상집단이 모든 변인에서 프로그램 효과가 지속되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 마음챙김 명상이 자살 성향이 있는 여고생의 자살생각, 부정정서를 감소시키고 삶의 만족을 증가시키는 데 효과가 있음을 시사한다.

    The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of mindfulness meditation on suicidal ideation, depression and subjective well-being in high school students. Study participants included students in D highschool located in Seoul. (10 in the experimental group, 7 in the wait-control group). The experimental group completed a mindfulness program consisting of nine 60-minute sessions over the span of 6 weeks. The AAQ-Ⅱ, CES-D, SWLS, LSES, and PANAS were used as outcomes measures. Effectiveness of the mindfulness treatment program was evaluated at 4-weeks following the end of treatment. Based on analyses, results revealed that suicidal ideation, negative emotion decreased significantly in the experimental group compared to the wait-control group. life satisfaction also increased significantly in the experimental group compared to the wait-control group. No significant differences were found between groups at post treatment related to depression ,expectation of life satisfaction, and positive emotion. Based on the 4-week follow-up analyses, all outcomes were associated with long term gains in the experimental group. These results suggest that mindfulness meditation helps
    to suicidal ideation and negative emotion among high school students with suicidal tendency as well as increase satisfaction with life.
