Recently, researchers have paid increasing attention to negative aspects of abusive supervision. However, there are not sufficient studies that examined the negative outcomes of abusive supervision.
The purpose of this study was twofold: (1) to examine the relationships between abusive supervision, subordinate's deviant behavior in workplace, (2) to examine the mediating effects of organizational injustice in the relationships between abusive supervision and subordinate's deviant behavior.
Based on related theory and literature review, 4 hypotheses were developed and tested. Questionnaires were distributed to 320 employees of 6 organizations. Among returned questionnaires, 270 samples were used for empirical study. According to results, abusive supervision of supervisors had significant negative effects on subordinate's perceptions of organizational injustice. Also, subordinate's perceptions of organizational injustice had positive effects on subordinate's deviant behavior. Also, the results show that organizational injustice mediate the relationship between abusive supervision and subordinate's deviant behavior. In summary, All hypotheses were supported.
Finally, Implications and directions for future research are discussed in discussion and conclusion.
