The purpose of this study proposed an effective method improving obesity of adolescents who attend a complex exercise program during 12 weeks, by identifying eating behavior, obesity stress, changes in blood levels of the ghrelin and leptin hormones.
The subjects of study were a total of 18 persons each 9 people, allocating complex exercise group (RG), control group(C) that divided by using the simple method conducted obese boys who had more than 25 percent body fat from pre-test.
Complex exercise took four days a week, 45 minutes per a day and continued total 12 weeks. Measurement and analysis of all participants were measured after 12 weeks of pre-and post-test.
Data were treated by using the SPSS win14.0 statistical program, and all the variables mean and standard deviation were calculated.
For comparison of each group repeated measurements were performed among groups (one-way ANOVA repeated measure). If there were significant difference, least significant difference (LSD), post-validation (post-hoc) techniques were analyzed using groups. To analyze the differences among groups the black contrast was performed. To determine the correlation among groups the bivariate correlation analysis were taken.
The level of statistical significance in all analysis was set at ⍺ =. 05.
Then that produced through the research process and how conclusions are as follows:
1) Ghrelin changes
RG group showed significant difference(p<.05) in group that ghrelin was decreased from 772.19pg/㎖ at 0 day to 429.77pg/㎖ at 12th week. We found out that the change of ghrelin concentration among groups were significant difference(p<.05), and found out that change of ghrelin in RG groups more significantly decreased than that of C group.
2) Leptin changes
In RG group, the amount of leptin was increased from 12.38ng/㎖ at 0 day to 17.83ng/㎖ at 12th week. The significant difference was showed only RG (p<0.05) group by comparison in a group. But, there were no significant differences in groups.
3) Changes in binge eating behavior
In RG group, binge eating behavior was also reduced from 94.67 at 0 day to 48.67 at 12th week. There were significant difference (p<.05) in AG, RG group, respectively. Also, there were significant difference (p<.05) among the groups.
4) Change of obesity stress
In RG group obesity stress was reduced from 109.33 at 0 day to 52.17 at 12th week, respectively.
In RG group, obesity stress was significant difference in both groups respectively. Also, in comparison groups obesity stress were significant difference (p<.05).
In summary of above results, eating behavior and obesity stress of obese adolescents were significantly reduced Complex Exercise Program. In addition, it showed that ghrelin and leptin hormone concentrations in blood were significantly changed.
Therefore, we confirmed that continuous complex combination of exercise were positively effects for obese adolescents as a tool associated with a interventions of obesity.
