소상공인 예비창업자의 창업실행의지에 관한 연구 : 창업지원제도와 자기효능감의 조절효과를 중심으로 = A Study on Entrepreneurship Intentions of Potential Small Business Entrepreneurs : Focused on Moderating Effects of Small Business Startup and Self-efficacy

About 45% of new businesses survived three years after foundation from 2004 to 2009 (the Statistical Research Institute, Statistics Korea). It was the time that political direction should be made to elevate survival of business entrepreneurs.
This study investigated elevation of survival and success intentions of potential small business entrepreneurs who were forced to start business without economic and time room because of closure of job, regular retirement, resigning at official suggestion, divorce and separation by death.
The subject was 580 potential small business entrepreneurs who attended business startup class at small business support center. Questionnaires were used. And, analysis of frequency, factor analysis, reliability test and multiple regression analysis were used. Both SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 were used.
The study investigated effects of background, psychological features, business startup motives and business startup environment of potential small business entrepreneurs upon entrepreneurship intentions. The small business startup had moderating effects:
First, ages of the entrepreneurs had significantly negative influence upon entrepreneurship intentions, and job experience had significantly positive influence, and job experience had significantly positive influence, and both ages and educational background had significantly negative influence upon success intentions.
Second, achievement desire, internal control and risk taking had significantly positive influence upon success intentions.
Third, self-realization and self-supporting had significantly positive influence upon business startup intentions, and retirement had significantly negative influence. Not only independence but also self-realization had significantly positive influence.
Fourth, not only achievement desire but also internal control had significantly positive influence upon entrepreneurship intention at good business startup support, and self-realization, retirement type of business startup motive and economic situation had significantly positive influence upon entrepreneurship intention at high self-efficacy, and independence had negative influence upon entrepreneurship intention.
The findings were:
The potential small business entrepreneurs needed not simple business startup education for higher intention but business startup support program that the entrepreneurs could make use even at shortage of finance and time. So, entrepreneurship spirit preparing for business startup, consulting for high self-efficacy and success will, counselling technique, on-the-spot education, internship and others needed to research. Comprehensive, composite and lump sum entrepreneur oriented policy should be developed to let potential entrepreneurs succeed in business startup even at shortage of finance and time. Such effort could help small business entrepreneurs succeed in business startup.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

통계청 통계개발원(2011)에서 발표한 2004년∼2009년 사업체 생성·소멸(생멸)통계에 의하면 신규사업체의 3년 생존율이 약 45% 내외로 나타났다. 이제는 창업자들의 생존율을 높이기 위한 정책적 방향을 재정립해야 하는 시점에 이르렀다.
이 연구는 직장의 폐업, 정년퇴직, 권고사직, 이혼, 사별 등의 원인으로 경제적·시간적 여유 없이 취업 하지 못하고 창업에 뛰어들어야 하는 수많은 소상공인 예비창업자들이 창업 준비 단계에서부터 생존율과 성공의지를 높일 수 있는 요인을 탐색하고자 하였다.
본 연구는 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 소상공인지원센터에서 실시하는 창업교육을 수강하는 소상공인 예비창업자 580명으로부터 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료에 이용된 통계분석 기법은 자료특성과 분석목적에 따라 빈도분석(Analysis of Frequency), 요인분석(Factor Analysis), 신뢰도 검증(Reliability Test), 다중회귀분석(Multiple Regression Analysis) 등이 이용되었다. 이와 같은 통계분석을 위해 통계 패키지 SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 18.0을 이용하였다.
소상공인 예비창업자의 창업자 배경적 특성, 창업자 심리적 특성, 창업동기, 창업환경이 창업실행의지에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 더불어 소상공인 창업지원제도와 자기효능감의 조절변수 역할에 대해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
첫째, 창업자 배경적 특성 중에서 연령은 창업의지에 유의미한 부의 영향을 미치는 반면, 직업경력은 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 연령과 학력은 성공의지에 유의미한 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 창업자 심리적 특성 중에서 성취욕구, 내적 통제위치, 위험감수성향은 성공의지에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 창업동기 중에서 자아실현, 생계형은 창업의지에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 반면, 퇴직형은 유의미한 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 독립성과 자아실현은 성공의지에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
넷째, 창업지원제도가 유용할수록 성취욕구와 내적 통제위치가 창업의지에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 자기효능감이 높을수록 자아실현 및 퇴직형 창업동기와 경기상황이 창업의지에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치며, 독립성이 창업의지에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
연구결과, 단순히 창업의지를 높이는 창업교육보다 예비창업자가 경제적·시간적 절박함 속에서도 여유를 가지고 창업지원제도를 이용할 수 있는 창업지원 프로그램이 필요하다는 것을 인식하게 되었다. 이를 위해 창업전반에 걸쳐 주인의식을 가지고 사업을 준비하는 창업가정신, 자기효능감을 높이고, 성공의지를 함양할 수 있는 컨설팅, 상담기법, 현장교육, 인턴제도 등 창업지원 프로그램 등에 대한 전반적인 검토와 연구가 필요하다. 특히 경제적·시간적 절박함을 반영하여 짧은 창업 준비 기간 동안에 집중적으로 성공가능성을 높일 수 있는 일괄처리방식의 종합적이면서도 복합적인 창업자 중심의 정책개발이 필요하다. 이러한 노력을 통해 소상공인 창업의 성공률을 제고시키는 긍정적인 기여를 할 수 있을 것이다.
