    This study aims to examine the correlation between the dragon boat racing participants' participation motivation, involvement, participation satisfaction and their re-participation intention to provide basic data with the aim of establishing the dragon boat racing as a life sport and activating it.
    To that end, 337 participants in dragon boat racing in August 2012 were surveyed.
    t-test, One-Way ANOVA, GLM, and Path Analysis of the collected data were conducted using the statistical programs SPSS V20.0 and AMOS V20.0, and the following conclusions were induced.

    1) Correlation between participation motivation, involvement, participation satisfaction, and re-participation intention according to general characteristics
    For participation motivation, according to gender, the external motivations, namely, external showoff, health and physical strength were higher in men. According to age, the internal motivation, namely, pleasure was higher in those in their 30s and over 50s, and the external motivation, namely, external showoff was higher in those in their 20s, and health and physical strength were higher in those in their 50s or older.
    According to marriage or non-marriage, the internal motivation, namely, pleasure was higher in married people, the external motivation, namely, external showoff was higher in unmarried people, and health and physical strength were higher in married people. Non-motivation was higher in unmarried people. According to education attainment, external showoff and non-motivation were the highest in university students, the external motivation, namely, health and physical strength were the highest in high school graduates or lower-educated people, and the internal motivation, namely, pleasure was the highest in university graduates or higher-educated people.
    According to participation experience, the internal motivation, pleasure was the highest in those with 6 months -1 year of experience, the external motivation, external showoff was the highest in those with over two years of experience, health and physical strength were the highest in those with 6 months - 1 year of experience, and non-motivation was the highest in those with over 2 years of experience.
    For involvement, according to gender, cognitive involvement and behavioral involvement were both higher in men, and according to age, cognitive involvement was the highest in those under their 20s.
    According to marriage and non-marriage, cognitive involvement was the highest in married people, and according to education attainment, cognitive involvement was the lowest in university students with the highest behavioral involvement.
    According to participation experience, cognitive involvement was higher in those with 6 months - 1 year of experience than in those with over 2 years of experience.
    According to age, re-participation intention was the lowest in those aged 20 years or under, and according to marriage or non-marriage, it was higher in married people. According to education attainment, it was the lowest in university students, and according to participation experience, it was the highest in those with 6 months - 1 year of experience.

    2) The effects on participation motivation on involvement, participation satisfaction and re-participation intention
    For the effects of participation motivation on involvement, the internal motivation pleasure, achievement, and skill development and the external motivation health and physical strength had a positive effect on cognitive involvement, and non-motivation had a negative effect on cognitive involvement. The internal motivation achievement, skill development, and pleasure and the external motivation external showoff and behavioral involvement had a negative effect on behavioral involvement.
    For the effects of participation motivation on participation satisfaction, the external motivation socialization, health and physical strength had a positive effect on participation satisfaction.
    For the effects of participation motivation on re-participation intention, the external motivation health, physical strength and socialization had a positive effect on re-participation intention.

    3) The effects of involvement on participation satisfaction and re-participation intention
    For the effects of involvement on participation involvement, cognitive involvement and behavioral involvement had a positive effect on participation satisfaction.
    For the effects of involvement on re-participation intention, cognitive involvement had a positive effect on re-participation intention.

    4) The effects on participation satisfaction on re-participation intention
    Dragon boat racing participants' participation satisfaction had a positive effect on re-participation intention.

    5) Correlation between participation motivation, involvement and participation satisfaction on one hand, and re-participation intention on the other hand
    In the case of the correlation between participation motivation, involvement, participation satisfaction, and re-participation intention, for the internal motivation, there was a positive correlation between involvement, participation satisfaction, and re-participation intention, and for the external motivation, there was a positive motivation between involvement, satisfaction participation, and re-participation intention. And, for non-motivation, there was a negative correlation between involvement and re-participation intention.
    Involvement had a positive correlation with participation satisfaction and re-participation intention, and participation satisfaction had a positive correlation with re-participation intention.
