파트너십으로서의 박물관 학교연계교육 연구 : 최용신기념관 학교연계프로그램을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

21세기 지식기반사회로써 창의성을 갖춘 인재를 양성하기 위해 평생교육체제의 구축과 창의성을 억압하는 공교육의 개편이 각 국의 미래를 좌우하는 중요한 열쇠가 되고 있다. 특히, 현재 학교교육이 직면한 공교육의 위기는 박물관 교육과의 협력적 관계를 통해 극복되고 보완될 수 있다고 보고 있다.
그러나 박물관과 학교연계교육에 대한 필요성이 인식되고 활성화를 위한 많은 선행논문들이 있어 왔지만 현재에 이르기까지 각각의 체제안에서 문제점 및 한계로 인해 효율적인 연계교육이 이루어지지 않고 있으며 대부분의 박물관 학교연계교육이 학교와의 상호협력적인 의사소통을 거치지 않고 박물관측에서 일방적으로 기획되고 제공되어진다는 문제점이 있다.
이에 본 연구는 진정한 의미에서의 박물관 학교연계교육의 활성화를 위하여 박물관과 학교와의 파트너십을 강조하고 각자가 가진 전문성과 자원을 공유하여 시너지 효과를 내고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내외 박물관에서 이루어지는 학교연계프로그램의 현황분석을 하고, 이를 기반으로 최용신기념관과 상록초등학교와 협력적 관계에 의해 이루어지고 있는 학교연계교육 사례를 분석하여 파트너십 관계로 확장시키기 위해 필요한 실천방안을 제시하고자 한다. 결론적으로 학교와 박물관 연계가 이루어지기 위해서는 학교, 박물관 그리고 지원기관이 각각 독립적으로 운영되어지는 것이아니라 유기적으로 서로 연관된 ‘파트너십’으로 진행될 때 박물관뿐만 아니라 학교의 교육적 역량도 동시에 강화되는 진정한 의미에서 박물관 학교연계교육의 활성화를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the knowledge based society of the twenty-first century, reorganization of public education from one that stifles lifelong education and creativity to one that cultivates the creative talents has been becoming an even more important key in determining countries' futures.
In particular, a cooperative relationship with museum education will help supplement the efforts made in overcoming the crisis today's public school education is confronting.
Despite the fact that there have been many dissertations published recognizing the need to have an active connection between school education and museum education, up to now, because of each system's problems and limitations, the hope of developing an efficient educational connection has not come true. There is the problem that most of museum-school interface education is planned and offered by just the museum without mutually cooperative conversation with the school.
However, on this point, various research of genuine merit has emphasized that there is much purpose in establishing a connection between museum education and public school education, as there is a synergy effect in the professionalism and resources offered at each.
To this end, this is an analysis of the situation of the national and the international museum-school connection programs, and on a related note, the case of the Choi Yongsin Memorial Hall-School Connection Program, with the ultimate result being the suggestion to progress the partnership building plan of the museum-school connection education towards full partnership.
In conclusion, in order to consummate the partnership of the school and museum, instead of operating exclusively, the museum and support organizations need to systematically progress towards a partnership which both reinforces the genuine meaning of mutual cooperation and the schools' educational capacity.
