다문화 가정 자녀의 학교적응 프로그램

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 한국 사회는 급격히 다문화 사회로 전환되고 있다. 이에 따라 증가하고 있는 다문화 가정 학생들의 학교생활 적응을 지원하기 위한 다양한 교육프로그램 운영, 그리고 학교·학급경영 전략의 수립 및 실행이 요구된다. 특히, 실질적인 교육활동이 전개되는 학교에서의 다문화 가정 자녀의 학교 적응 프로그램은 학생들의 학교 적응 및 개인의 잠재능력 계발에 중요한 요소로 작용하고 있는 것으로 간주된다. 이에 본 연구는 다문화 가정 학생들의 학교생활 적응력을 높이기 위한 프로그램 제시와 기존에 있는 프로그램을 비교, 보완을 하는 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 선행연구 및 관련 문헌을 통해서 다문화 가정 학생들이 학교생활에서 겪고 있는 문제점을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 다문화 가정 학생들의 학교생활에서 나타나는 문제는 정체성 혼란, 낮은 학업성취도, 집단 따돌림 등으로 분석되었다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 구체적인 프로그램으로 소그룹 활동의 활성화, 다문화 체험의 교실환경 구성, 다문화 학습공동체 활동의 전개, 동료 학습 멘토링 제도 도입, 의형제 맺기 활동전개, 따돌림 예방 프로그램운영 등을 제시하였다.

Korean society comes into a sharp change in a multi-culture. So, it is necessary to prepare and execute many education programs and management programs for managing classes and schools to assist multi-cultural family students expected to take charge of the future of Korea. Especially, classroom management strategies for doing real educational activities react as an important factor needful to adaptation to schools and development of potential ability. So, the purpose of this study is to suggest the multi-cultural class management strategies to enhance their adaptation to school living. This study analyzed the problems through precedent studies and related literatures that multi-cultural family students suffered from. As a result, the problems found out from multi-cultural family students were identity confusion, low academic achievement, and group alienation. This study presented, as a concrete strategy to solve the problems, activating small group activities, creating classroom environment suitable to experience multi-cultures, activating learning activity communities, introducing peer learning mentoring, developing sworn-brother relationship making activities, and operating alienation prevention programs.
