자기애 취약성이 자기효능감에 미치는 영향: 타인인정추구와 자존감의 매개효과 검증 = The effect of vulnerability of narcissism on self-efficacy: test of mediating effect of validation of others and self-esteem.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자기애의 취약성과 자기효능감의 관계에서 자존감과 타인인정추구의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다.
이를 위해, 대학생 390 명(남학생 101명, 여학생 289명)을 대상으로 설문지를 실시하였으며, 병리적 자기애 척도(Pathological Narcissism scale), 승인 동기 척도 개정판(Revised Martin- Narsen Approval Motivation Scale), 상태 자존감 척도(State Self-esteem Scale), 자기효능감 척도(Self-efficacy Scale)를 도구로 사용하였다. 자기애의 취약성에서 자기효능감에 이르는 경로를 검증하기 위해, SPSS 18.0과 Amos 18.0을 사용하여 상관분석 및 경로분석을 하였다.
연구결과는 다음과 같다. 상관분석 실시 결과, 자기애의 취약성은 타인인정추구에서 유의한 정적상관을 보였으며, 자존감과 자기효능감에서는 유의한 부적상관을 보였다. 또한 자존감의 경우 타인인정추구에서는 유의한 부적상관을 보였고 자기효능감에서는 유의한 정적상관을 보였다. 그리고 마지막으로 타인인정추구와 자기효능감 간에는 유의한 부적상관을 보였다. 또한 이들 변인간의 관계 경로를 검증한 결과, 본 연구자의 가설과 같이 자기애의 취약성이 자존감과 타인인정추구를 매개로 자기효능감에 영향을 미치는 경로를 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 자기애에 있어 취약성과 자존감은 밀접한 관련이 있고 자존감과 타인인정추구를 매개로 하여 자기효능감에 간접적인 영향을 미친다는 사실을 확인하였다.
끝으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점, 후속 연구방향을 기술하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to classify the mediating effects of self-esteem and validation from others on the relation between of narcissism and self- efficacy.
To achieve this, the sample of 390 college students (101 male, 289 female students) were asked to complete Pathological Narcissism scale, Self-efficacy, Scale Revised Martin- Narsen Approval Motivation, and State Self-esteem Scale.
 Relation analysis and path analysis were conducted using SPSS18.0 and Amos 18.0 in order to validate the path from relation between vulnerability of narcissism to self-efficacy.
The results were as in following. First, vulnerability, which is one of subclassification of narcissism, showed positive correlation in validation from others while it showed negative correlation in self-esteem and self-efficacy.
In case of self-esteem, it showed negative correlation in validation from others while it showed positive correlation in self-efficacy. In terms of relations among each variable, validation from others showed negative correlation with self-efficacy.
As a result of validating the relation path among variables, the path that vulnerability of narcissism affects self-efficacy mediating self-esteem and validation from others was identified which supports the hypothesis of the researcher.
That is, vulnerbility was found to be closely related to self-esteem and it affected self-efficacy indirectly meditating self-esteem and validation from others.
Finally, the significance and several limitations of the study, and the suggestions for future researches are discussed.
