This research studies whether mind practice programs help mid-life adults in their psychological well-being and their sense of self-effectuation by providing them with insight of their own lives and have successful experiences and therefore recognize their own abilities in a positive way. In order to achieve our goals the specific questions are as follows:
Research question 1. Do mind practice programs help the psychological well-being of mid-life adults?
1) Do mind practice programs help mid-life adults in accepting their inner self?
2) Do mind practice programs help mid-life adults have more positive relationships with others?
3) Do mind practice programs help mid-life adults improve their autonomy?
4) Do mind practice programs help mid-life adults have better control about their own environment?
Research Question 2. Do mind practice programs help improve the sense of self-effectuation of mid-life adults?
1) Do mind practice programs affect mid-life adults in improving confidence?
2) Do mind practice programs affect mid-life adults in their self-control capabilities improve?
3) Do mind practice programs affect mid-life adults in their preference in subject difficulty?
In order to research the topic, we have composed the program with the following elements: finding boundaries, looking into the heart, inspecting, discerning, distinguishing, deciding correctly, behaving correctly, checking question and answers, simplifying, facing things, and empathizing
This study fulfilled mind practice program of 10 times so as to improve psychological peace and self-efficacy for adults who experience midlife crisis. The subject of study was 12 members of experimental group and 12 members of control group. And, previous effects and afterward effects were compared by scale sheet of psychological peace and self-efficacy. SPSS 15.0 statistical package was used and as the result of Wilcoxon test, the results are as follows.
The first, the changing quantity of experimental group's previous·afterward test showed more significant increase than control group's statistically.
The second, there was a significant difference statistically if comparing previous and afterward of experimental group in the sub-factors of psychological peace and self-efficacy.
The third, there were positive changes in the statement of participants after the mind practice program.
