아버지 양육 관련 변인과 유아 발달의 관계에 대한 메타분석

The mother of social change in society leads to the role changing of the father. The father has asked but only financial supporter and also division of child care. The increasing awareness which the father's role is important in child care promoted expectations level that the father participate in parenting. As increasing of the number of father involved in parenting actively, the father's impact on the development of young children also provoke interest.
In this study, to provide the foundation data for formation of more effective relationship of father and child, the relationship between father parenting related variables and child development are comprehensively examined through various aspects
The following research questions were set to reveal purpose of this study.
The trends of the analyzed studies were examined and what about the size of correlation effects on the relationship between parenting of the father and child development according to the father care related variables are tested. What about the size of correlation effects on the relationship between father's rearing and child development according to the child's developmental areas are investigated.
The meta-analysis was carried out with the comprehensive study of the relationship between paternal rearing related variables and child development
In order to solve the problems of these studies, 184 papers which are investigated the relationship between the father rearing and child development are selected and then 5072 correlation effect size was analyzed. Coding and data were analyzed by CMA2(Comprehensive Meta Analysis V2).
The father rearing-related variables were classified as playfulness, participation in play, rearing involvement, rearing attitude, rearing behavior, verbal control, and emotional expression, discipline and child development classified as cognitive development, social and emotional development, and self-concept.
Follows is the results of this study:
Studies on the relationship between the father rearing-related variables and the child's development are ongoing through journals and thesis and are seem to be growing. Research from the Graduate School of Education is the most frequently. In a regional basis, it was the most common from Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. By the size of cities, studies were most dominant in the small urban areas.
Second, moderate relationships between the father rearing-related variables and child development have been shown in general. father rearing-related variables were largely correlated with basic lifestyle habits of children, self-concept, self-regulation skills, social competence, and social development, whereas negative predictors were emotional intelligence, self-regulation skills, and creativity. It was differently shown depending on the nature of the development area.
Third, relatively low degree of relationship was observed in the child development and father rearing-related variables. But only social development of child and father's rearing involvement and also self-concept and rearing involvement and emotional expression were showed a high degree of correlation.
These data indicate that paternal rearing-related variables and child's development correlated with each other. In particular, when the rearing variables and characteristics of the child development were relevant relationships were high. Thus, father should be responsible for child care organically in the context.
