This study developed an e-trade platform as an interface which connects the relevant networks functionally and technically so that all the things on trade from e-trade marketing to payment of trade money can be managed online. That is, the e-Trade platform provides single window service to trade companies through connection with trade organizations in marketing, distribution, foreign exchange, logistics, clearance, settlement, standard and certification and guarantees quick distribution of e-trade documents to get rid of unnecessary procedures, which can be an e-trade hub for services of national trade organizations and global e-trade.
However, for the efficient use of the e-Trade platform, e-trade infrastructures should be developed and process for all the trade should be innovated. Also, laws and institutions for wider use of e-trade and practice trade should be improved and go well with existing trade practices. Above all, users of the e-trade platform should be secured. Under such background, this study aims to present future directions for u-trade services to develop measures for better e-trade services.
To achieve the purpose, the study analysed the trend and e-trade service projects and their environment, and presented challenges for better e-trade services based on previous studies. To overcome the challenges, the study proposed the vision, goals and directions, and efficient strategies based on the proposed model. The study analysed the current status and environment of e-trade services based on theoretical review centering on bibliographical study. Then, necessary data were collected through interviews with relevant organizations and managers on the service conditions. Based on the data collected, the study overcame the challenges and proposed future strategies for e-trade.
Therefore, the study examined basic concepts and examples of e-trade platforms and services, and analysed challenges for their efficient management to enhance trade companies and national competitive power. The study is composed of a total of six chapters and each chapter is outlined as follows: Chapter 1 presented the purpose, method and scope of the study. Chapter 2 presented the definition and characteristics of an e-trade platform and services. Chapter 3 specifically studied the e-trade platform and service environment. Chapter 4 presented u-trade platforms and strategies. Chapter 5 discussed the characteristics and problems of main payment system of e-trade and countermeasures. Finally, chapter 6 outlined the results of the study, and discussed the limitation of the study and future challenges. The study was based on bibliographical studies using academic journals, e-trade data, data on national projects, masters' and doctoral theses and articles, e-newspapers, Internet sites.
