With the acceleration of low birth and aging society and the conversion of economical structure paradigm that is reshuffled into new industry and service industry, the effective development and use of female human resources have come to the fore. However, women's participation in economical activities is very low domestically compared to advanced countries, and the problem of women's career interruption intensifies, in particular. Therefore, a variety of settlement strategies must be established in order to settle down the problem of women's career interruption and induce their participation in economical activities. In this vein, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between social networking and self-efficacy as an improvement strategy of career planning, dealt importantly for the career interrupted women's successful management of career. For this, following study questions were established: First, 'What is the influence of such properties of career interrupted women's social networking as magnitude, strength and diversity upon career planning?' And second, 'Does self-efficacy have a mediating effect upon the relationship between career interrupted women's social networking and career planning?'
In order to get answer to study questions, education was provided to career interrupted women who registered in women's development centers in Seoul and carried out activities, and a questionnaire survey of them was carried out as well. The questionnaire was distributed to 290 women and 235 responses were collected. And data of 213 respondents (effective ratio was 91%) were used in study analysis, except the data of 22 respondents whose response was inappropriate. As a test tool of social networking, the tool by Kim Yeong-ju & Yu Tae-yong (2009) and Kim Chan-bae & Lee Yun-cheol (2008) was used. As a test tool of self-efficacy, the tool by Sherer et al. (1982) was used. And as a test tool of career planning, the tool by Kim Hui-gyeong (2005) was used.
