가정 어린이집 원장의 보람과 어려움

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 가정어린이집의 원장이 경험하는 보람과 어려움에 대한 심층면담을 분석한 질적 연구이다. 이를 통해 가정보육의 가치와 운영에 대한 이해를 도모하고자 하며, 양질의 가정보육 서비스 제공 및 현실성 있고 발전적인 정책마련을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 위해 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
1) 가정어린이집에서 원장들이 느끼는 보람은 무엇인가?
2) 가정어린이집에서 원장들이 경험하는 어려움은 무엇인가?
위와 같은 연구 문제를 알아보기 위해 서울시 소재 가정어린이집 원장 4명을 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 연구기간은 4월부터 5월까지 진행하였으면 심층면담을 통해 가정어린이집 원장의 보람과 어려움에 대한 이야기를 수집하였으며, 연구자 저널과 노트, 원아수첩, 학부모 편지, 가정어린이집 연합회 커뮤니티 게시 글 등의 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 개방형코딩 기법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 도출된 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 가정어린이집 원장이 느끼는 보람은 직업적 만족에 의한 보람, 긍정적인 사회적 인식에 의한 보람, 원장의 역할 수행을 통한 보람 등 보람의 요인을 3가지로 볼 수 있었다.
둘째, 가정어린이집 원장이 경험하는 관계적 어려움은 학부모, 교사, 이웃원장, 원장의 가족, 지역주민 등 5개 영역의 관계에서 어려움을 경험하였다.
셋째, 가정어린이집 원장이 경험하는 구조적 어려움은 원장이 1인 다 역할을 수행할 수밖에 없는 구조, 정책 및 법정 사항 준수에 따르는 어려움, 원장의 낮은 처우 및 제정체계에 있어서의 어려움 등 3가지로 분류할 수 있었다.
넷째, 가정어린이집 원장들이 경험하는 보육과정 운영의 어려움은 영·유아의 안전사고 관련 스트레스, 보육교사의 전문성 신장을 위한 교사교육에 따르는 어려움이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구를 통해 가정어린이집이 영아보육에 있어서 핵심적 역할을 담당하고 있으며 보육복지 발전에 기여도가 높음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 영아보육의 질적 수준을 유지하기 위해서는 현실성 있는 정책의 개선과 정부의 지원이 필요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is a qualitative research based on the analysis of in-depth interviews about the difficulties and positive aspects that the directors of family child care centers experience. The purpose of this study is to help understand the management of family child care service and its value, and also to provide better and qualified family child care service, and finally to offer the preliminary data for establishing practical and improving policies on home-based child care service. The following subjects for inquiry are set for the purposes above.
1) What are the positive aspects that the directors of family child care centers ?
2) What are the difficulties that the directors of family child care centers ?
This study has been carried out by interviewing 4 samples of directors of family child care centers located in Seoul. The period of the research had been from Arpil to May. Through depth interviews, the data about the difficulties and positive aspects that the family child care directors feel have been collected. In addition to this, the researcher's journal, center children's reporting books, parents' letters, and some writings posted on the community board of Family child care center Federation have been used. Open coding was the method to analyze these data. And the results from this study and research are like the following.
first, There were 3 factors in the positive aspects family child care directors experience such as the professional satisfaction, the positive social perception, director's role performance.
second, the difficulties that the family child care directors have in relationship were divided into 5 categories such as relationship with children's parents, with child care teachers, with other neighboring center's director, with directors' own family and with local residents.
third, the structural difficulties that they have were classified in 3 categories like these. too many roles for one director, law observance, and low treatment and weak financial system.
For the last, in educare curriculum management of family child care center, They experienced the difficulties from the stress related to children's safety accident and child care teachers' training for improving their professionalism.
Through this study, we can see the directors are playing a important role that is well worth enough, and according to this, the practical and financial support from the government for the high quality child care service are sure to be necessary.
