대학생이 지각하는 가족 건강성이 결혼 이미지와 결혼 기대에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 대학생이 지각하는 가족 건강성이 결혼 이미지, 결혼기대에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 것이었다. 각 변인들 간의 관계를 통해 건강한 가정환경의 중요성을 확인하고, 학생들의 결혼 인식을 높이기 위한 결혼 교육에 대한 필요성을 제기하고자 하였다. 연구 목적에 따른 연구 문제는 다음과 같이 선정하였다.

1. 대학생들이 지각하는 가족 건강성, 결혼 이미지, 결혼 기대는 성별로 어떤 차이가 있는가?
2. 대학생들이 지각한 가족 건강성, 결혼 이미지, 결혼 기대는 어떤 관계를 보이는가?
3. 대학생들이 지각한 가족 건강성이 결혼 이미지에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?
4. 대학생들이 지각한 가족 건강성이 결혼 기대에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가?

이와 같은 연구 문제를 규명하기 위하여 춘천시내에 소재하고 있는 강원대, 한림대, 춘천교대 대학생들을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하였다. 300부 중 251부의 설문지가 수거되었으며, 그 중 분석에는 220명의 자료가 사용되었다.
설문지에 사용된 척도는 총 3개의 척도로 어은주 ․ 유영주(1995)가 제작한 가족 건강성 척도와 유가효(1988)가 Osgood의 의미분별척도를 원용하여 만든 결혼 이미지에 대한 단일요인척도, 결혼 기대는 Amatea 등(1986)의 인생 역할 중요도 검사(LRSS)를 번안, 수정하여 사용하였다.
본 연구의 자료처리 및 분석은 SPSS 프로그램을 사용하여, 참가자의 일반적 특성을 알아보기 위해 빈도분석을 실시하였고, 가족 건강성, 결혼 이미지, 결혼기대에 대한 성차를 파악하기 위해 t-검증을 실시하였다. 대학생의 가족 건강성, 결혼 이미지, 결혼기대에 대한 상관성을 파악하기 위해 Pearson의 적률 상관계수와 회귀계수를 인출하고, 그 유의도를 검증하였다.
연구 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생들이 지각하는 가족 건강성, 결혼 이미지, 결혼 기대는 남학생들이 여학생들보다 유의미하게 높았다. 둘째, 대학생들이 지각한 가족 건강성, 결혼 이미지, 결혼 기대는 가족 건강성과 결혼 이미지, 가족 건강성과 결혼 기대, 결혼 이미지와 결혼 기대가 모두 유의미한 정적 상관을 보였다. 셋째, 대학생들이 지각한 가족 건강성이 결혼 이미지에 미치는 영향은 긍정적이었으며, 넷째, 대학생들이 지각한 가족 건강성이 결혼 기대에 미치는 영향도 긍정적이었다.
본 연구를 통해 학생들이 가지는 결혼 이미지와 결혼 기대에 대해 가족의 영향력이 매우 크다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 건강하고 긍정적인 결혼 인식과 태도를 위해 제도적 결혼 교육이 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to find out how the image of marriage and marital expectation are affected by the family strength that is perceived by university students. The study questions based on the study purpose are as follows.

1. What gender difference is there in the family strength, image of marriage and marital expectation that are perceived by university students?
2. How are the family strength, image of marriage and marital expectation perceived by university students related?
3. How does the family strength perceived by university students affect the image of marriage?
4. How does the family strength perceived by university students affect the marital expectation?

To find the answers to these study questions, a survey was carried out at Kangwon University, Hanlim University, and Chuncheon Education University in Chuncheon city. 251 out of 300 copies of survey were recollected, and 220 of them were used for analysis.
Three measurement units were used for the survey: family strength scale designed by Eunjoo Uh and Youngjoo Yoo (1995), single-factor scale for the image of marriage that cited Osgood's semantic scale, and Amatea et al.'s LRSS (1986), which was modified for marital expectation.
SPSS program was used for statistic analysis. Frequency analysis was used for general characteristics of the participants, and t-test was used for the analysis on family strength, image of marriage, and marital expectation to understand the gender difference. Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient and regression coefficient were found to understand the correlation between family strength, image of marriage and marital expectation viewed by university students. The significance level was verified.
The study results are as follows. Firstly, male university students had significantly higher perception of family strength, and higher image of marriage and marital expectation than did female university students. Secondly, the family strength, image of marriage and marital expectation perceived by university students all showed to have statistically significant positive relationship: between family strength and image of marriage, between family strength and marital expectation, and between image of marriage and marital expectation. Thirdly, the effect of family strength perceived by university students on the image of marriage was positive, and lastly, the effect of family strength on the marital expectation was also positive.
This study found out that the image of marriage and marital expectation that students have are highly affected by the family, and institutional marriage education is needed for strengthy and positive attitude and perspective on marriage.
