This study is about the efficiency of health services at reducing teachers job stress and improving confidence affecting the quality of education and how teacher efficiency is related to job satisfaction. This study attempts to research the health impact and effect on job satisfaction of reducing stress and increasing efficiencyin the health teaching profession.
The 232 subjects of this study, Jeollanam-do elementary, middle and high school health teachers, were randomly selected by region for analysis from the 336 participants who completed the questionnaire. The data collection period was from 24 November 2011 until 16 December 2011 respectively. The study is based on the following sources; On job stress Jayaratne and Chess(1983), Park kyong Hee(1995) As reference for the survey Pak eun jeong(2011); Modified Efficacy was measured using the source Leechungran(2008); Bandura's self efficacy theory developed based on the Health Teacher Efficiency Scale was used as target; The measurement of teachers' job satisfaction and job satisfaction scale used Korean Teacher Opinionnaire: KTO, based on Leeranyoung(2007).
The collected data using SPSS PC+ 18.0 for Windows was a computerized statistical analysis. For analysis of the general characteristics of subjects, job stress, job satisfaction and degree of teachers efficiency number, percentage, mean and standard deviation were calculated.
Differences in job satisfaction according to general characteristics were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe test.
Job stress and the relationship between teacher efficiency and job satisfaction were analyzed with the Pearson correlation. To analyze the affect of job satisfaction of teachers the predictive factors stepwise regression analysis (Stepwise Multiple Regression) was performed.
The results of this study are as follows:
First, health teachers' job stress score of 100 points was on average 59.08 ±10.35, up 2.95 ±0.52 points on a scale from 1 to 5, respectively. The most important factor in the sub-region 4.31 ±0.83 was promotion, with monetary compensation, workload, role conflict, role ambiguity, autonomy in descending order.
Second, the health teacher's teacher efficiency out of 120 on average 81.89 ±14.63 respectively, the maximum out of 5 average rating was 3.41 ±0.61 points. The most important aspect in sub-area 3.75 ±0.73 was health services efficacy, teaching efficacy, job interpersonal efficacy, and efficacy community connection in descending order.
Third, health and job satisfaction of teachers out of 150 on average 105.24 ±13.87 respectively, the maximum out of 5 average rating was 3.60 ± 0.46 points. In sub-area 4.07 ±0.68 relationships was the highest factor, with professional development, administrative systems, social cognition), working environment, compensation schemes, their duties in descending order.
Fourth, the health teacher's job stress, relationship between teacher efficiency and job satisfaction from the job stress and job satisfaction negatively correlated (r = -.552, p<.001) showed, teacher efficiency and job satisfaction and a significant positive correlation (r = .453, p<.001) appeared to be having a health teacher's job stress and job satisfaction increased with increasing trend is reversed, and health teachers efficiency job satisfaction increases, higher respectively.
Fifth, factors affecting health teacher job satisfaction model were significant (F = 69.08, p<.001), the model was 39.6% of the variance (AdjR2 = .396). The biggest factor affecting Health Teacher Job Satisfaction was efficiency of the teacher to explain 30.6% and (β = .319, p<.001), followed by job stress (β = -.468, p<.001 ), respectively.
In conclusion, the higher the health teacher's job stress the lower the job satisfaction, and the higher the job satisfaction the higher the teachers' efficiency. School Health Teacher job stress and teachers’ efficiency had a significant influence on job satisfaction.
Thus, measures are needed to effectively control health teachers' job stress, and at the same time motivational strategies are needed to increase teacher efficiency.
