(Connelly & Clandinin, 2000: 81).

(Connelly & Clandinin, 2000: 81).

This study have a critical significance as a basic research for the improvement of classroom quality and finding the essence of narrative instructional criticism based on narrative through classroom experience between elementary school teachers and students. For this, we used the narrative inquiry method. Research participants are two teachers, who have relatively good rapport with the researcher and with abundant classroom experience, including one student.
The research procedure was based on the process of the study, using the steps of narrative inquiry suggested by Connelly & Clandinin(2000). The researcher and participants read details of the field text several times and extracted the sentence of words that express the meaning of classroom experience and arranged them together. The key terms are put together again to select the elements of experience, which are reviewed with the research participants. The study categorized the meaning in research texts of topics from the perspective of instructional criticism based on narrative. The study used the Nvivo 9.2 program for this process and the initial code was conducted in Nodes, and extracted an excel data from Queries.
    The classroom experience and the meaning derived from the process of the study are summarized as follows;

    A. The classroom experience of teachers and student

    1) Teacher, Kwon Woo-jung

    Kwon Woo-jung is a teacher who has experience in researcher -teacher. Kwon has unsurpassed passion for research and her class. While the researcher was preparing for field texts, Kwon expressed confidence about what he does and derived answers by continually asking himself questions. Therefore, Kwon’s story of experience can be summarized as “questions(questioning for instructional understanding)”. His five questions are as below;
First question(questioning for instructional understanding): what should a teacher prepare for his or her class? The question is intended to make teachers to mull over new methods instead of borrowing activities shown in regular text books just like creative teachers around us. Kwon also demands creativity from his students.
Second question(questioning for instructional understanding): what is the significance of development and use of various learning tools? The question shows a conflicting reality as the ICT tool, which is often used by teachers has both negative and positive effects.
Third question(questioning for instructional understanding): why am I obsessed with finding the right answer? In general, a teacher considers unique characteristics of individual subject knowledge, as well as situational and contextual factors while teaching, which is very difficult in reality. Kwon regrets not being able to practice it and showed efforts toward improvement.
Fourth question(questioning for instructional understanding): when would a conflict between teacher-oriented and student-oriented classes be resolved? This question will continue throughout one’s teaching career. Kwon said that a teacher-oriented class is inevitable, since a science class requires students to learn how to handle tools for experiments, which can be an obstacle between teachers and students.
Fifth question(questioning for instructional understanding): why have open classes remained difficult even after many occasions? Any elementary school teacher would feel uncomfortable for this question. Kwon expressed frustration over a lack of communication from teachers observing classes, rather than the process of class preparation and demonstration. He also suggests a desirable observation records for open classes.

    2) Teacher, Lee Ji-hae

    Lee Ji-hae has a calm personality. She may be crass, yet she listens to students, and is initiative in carrying out her duty, instead of shifting responsibility to others. While gathering her field texts, she said that she felt motionlessly standby in the education field, like a big rock. Her five attentions(perspectival pattern) are below;
First attention(perspectival pattern): an eye of control that believes the first class of every semester is like a year of farming. The attention called “training” is widely used on students in the beginning of a semester. Since she focuses too much on this in March, presentations by students have rapidly decreased and opportunities for interaction rarely occur. Lee believes that it controls students.
Second attention(perspectival pattern): an eye of deficiency between teacher-student, which has no communion. This particular attention is very relevant to the first attention. The teacher regrets the lack of communication with the students under the controlled atmosphere in the early part of semester and repeating circumstances. that occur because of it.
Third attention(perspectival pattern): an eye unable to find individual variation or various characteristics of students. Lee had 29 students during the study period. The researcher's daughter said she had 20 classmates. Therefore, Lee has a relatively large class in terms of student numbers. Under the circumstances, it is impossible to consider individuality of each student in teaching, and it could rather result in seeking a method to manage students effectively, just like the eye of the first attention.
Fourth attention(perspectival pattern): a greedy eye to strictly follow textbooks toward learning objectives. For teachers, a textbook is the most influential material that reflects the spirit of the teaching process and content. Lee always keeps these elements in mind, thereby is obsessed with teaching the details in textbooks and also ensures that her students accomplish objectives in each session.
Fifth attention(perspectival pattern): a political eye that regards knowledge as a part of curriculum, not as an issue of life. Lee’s last attention is an eye that inevitably comes from the fourth attention. The story is about teachers' class attitude based on details estranged from knowledge of the lives of students, emanating from a strong belief that knowledge is a part of a curriculum.

    3) Student, Kim Si-woo

    Kim is a very positive student in studying, sports, writing, and painting. He has a strong confidence in teachers and is very active in communicating with his parents. His personality demonstrates a positive attitude in dealing with problems that he faces in his class. The researcher gathered the field text of the student and summarized his story as ‘desire’ since he is still ‘anxious(individual desire)’. His five desires are as below;
First desire(individual desire): finding my problem, not others. Teachers pursue their students to take an active part in learning activities. However, Kim’s first desire shows that he takes educational contents, which is crucial and meaningful for himself, as a problem.
Second desire(individual desire): unfolding an imaginary world of his own. Each class time of an elementary school is 40 minutes. No teacher would believe that all students pay full attention for the whole 40-minute class. The study confirmed through Kim Si-woo’s second desire that even when students are aware that teachers actually pay full attention to them, they could still be lost in their own imaginary world.
Third desire(individual desire): meeting knowledge of learning from the joy of life. The researcher often asks silly questions concerning which one is right between ‘meaning’ and ‘entertaining’ in teaching. The researcher concluded that fun is essential for meaning.
Fourth desire(individual desire): practicing my own study strategy. In recent times, students are extremely busy. They have to participate in after school classes, institutes, tutoring, youth camps, English camps, and so on. Under the circumstance, Kim’s fourth desire makes him think that he has to study according to instruction, in case a study strategy of his own is not set up.
Fifth desire(individual desire): communicating with friends and teachers. Communication is what a teacher desires in students, and vice versa. In particular, Kim says communication is essential as it affects his level of study or class atmosphere through the relationship with students.

    B. The narrative meaning of teachers and students' classroom experience

First, classroom narrative of teachers and students demonstrate that a class is composed of the story of a living space that incorporates the past, present, and future.
Temporality is the core trait in narrative thinking. We take it for granted that putting work in the flow of time is the method to think about the work. When we face an incident, we tend to believe that it is an expression of something that occurs throughout time, not as an incident that happens at the moment. When an incident occurs to us, it has the past, present, and an expected future(Connelly & Clandinin, 2000: 80). Therefore, we cannot view a class deviate from such a temporality.
Second, classroom narrative of teachers and students shows that it is a formation process in contextual circumstances of time, people, and a location.
A context always exists in narrative thinking. It includes concept, such as temporal and spiritual contexts and of other people. A context is necessity in order to make a person, an incidence, and work meaningful. For example, a way to introduce a context into a revision to taxonomy is by distinguishing the spaces between in and out of classrooms from the front of a school. Such a contextualization enabled demonstrating that the role of an objective is different from what is being done to people who came to a classroom of other scenes for people in a class of a certain professor scene (Connelly & Clandinin, 2000: 81).
Third, classroom narrative of teachers and students shows that a class is a process of growing and soul-searching by cross-reaction between teachers and students.
Narrative has a relational property. Narrative moves with the time and places and not only personal and social dimensions, but also live through a process of such cross-reaction(Connelly & Clandinin, 2000:177). Many students these days complain that they cannot experience meaningful learning, and learning from schools is unfeasible because of school violation. As more and more students cannot place special significance to school activities, the meaning of classes are being put into shame. This stems from unable recognize the importance of the relationship between teachers and students in classes.
    Points of instructional criticism based on narrative which is demonstrated in the study process are as follows;
First, instructional criticism based on narrative believes that the growth of teachers and students through classes is in the reflection process, in the experience of the past and present as well as the growth of the future. Instructional criticism based on narrative allows looking back to the essence of classes, which is forgotten by teachers and students. The core subject is that it allows a chance of introspection to teachers to look back on their teaching, and an opportunity for students to expand their knowledge to their future. Therefore, instructional criticism based on narrative can be viewed from the perspective of dimensional thinking structure. This structure leads to the depth of infinite time, which live dynamically and constantly changes and creates, instead of focusing on the space and time itself that comes from liner thinking. In other words, instructional criticism based on narrative is a path that connects the past, present, and future, allowing to experience fully integrated teaching.
Second, instructional criticism based on narrative is a process that creates an incidence into a story in the context of life in class, and a creation of such incidences in a system of meaning. Instructional criticism based on narrative has a perspective that teachers and students are a world that organizes and creates passion for the educational relationship. The world of teachers and students coexist in challenge and consideration to actualize a world of powerful desire, which aims to exceed given textbook content. The passion for the educational relationship constantly revives in the heart and leads to create narrative. Therefore, teachers and students aim for even more realistic conditions and context, beyond the specified 40-minute class time and a physical classroom, as well as the medium called textbooks. In this regard, instructional criticism based on narrative could continuously create the meaning of narrative based on longing and desire toward the present world; ultimately exceeding the space and time of lives, history, and overcome through creative reconstitution that fit the context and circumstances beyond creative limitations so as to evolve to a story of a new existence.
Third, instructional criticism based on narrative is a process, with knowledge and wisdom that students and teachers learn, to find the answers to questions and interests to oneself and others. The most important element of instructional criticism based on narrative is that it is an activity of a process to recognize teachers and students as an existence with narrative. Narrative opens a door to teachers and students to formulate a complete human being of one another based on unique stories of their own.. Narrative, therefore, cannot be achieved through artificial calculation, frames, control, or fabrication. Hence, narrative enables people in class to stimulate unique stories with its’ inner cadence and rhythm from the observation of flat and quantitative knowledge transferring. In this respect, teachers should face their own fundamental problems with regard to educational contents, observe that they are the one who can integrate the inner world; in doing so, they also need to recognize that their teaching is a process that enable students to compose their narrative and grow on their own.
