This study was to grasp the extent of recognizing the organization direction, the goals, the adequacy in each area's goals and the importance in each area's contents in Nuri Course for 5 year old that kindergarten teachers practiced directly, to investigate the perception of kindergarten teacher according their careers.
The research questions set by this purpose are as follows.
1. What is the perception of kindergarten teachers in Nuri Course for 5 year old?
2. What is the perception of kindergarten teacher in Nuri Course for 5 year old depending on their careers?
The study focused on 249 kindergarten teachers who were taking care of children under 5 at 182 kindergartens located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Research tool was used modifying, reconstructing previous studies of notification Nuri Course for 5 year old (Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, 2011) an Kim, Young Oak et al., 2005, Mun, Mi Oak et al., 2008, Lee, Yeon Seung et al., 2010. Questionnaire was distributed and collected by visiting, registered mail, e-mail. For this study, SPSS 19.0 program was used and analyzed. Analysis of the general background of the subjects used frequency and percentages, the mean and standard deviation were calculated to validate the research problems.
The result of this study are as follows.
First, the perception of kindergarten teachers about the organization direction, the goals, each area's aim, the adequacy in each area's structure in Nuri Course for 5 year old showed higher than 'generally appropriate'. The perception of kindergarten teachers about the importance in each area's contents in Nuri Course for 5 year old showed higher than 'generally appropriate'. The perception of the importance in social relationship area was the highest. Next, it was indicated in order of communication area, physical exercise․health area, study of nature area, the perception of the importance in art experience area was the lowest.
Second, the perception of kindergarten teachers about the organization direction, the adequacy of the goals in Nuri Course for 5 year old according to their careers displayed the teachers with less than 3~5 years experience was the highest. In sequence, the teachers with less than 1~3 years experience, over 5 years experience were listed in the order. The teachers with less than 1 year experience was the lowest in perceiving the adequacy. With regard to perceiving the adequacy about physical exercise․health area's goals in Nuri Course for 5 year old, teachers with over 5 years experience showed to be the highest. In sequence, the teachers with less than 3~5 years experience, the teachers with less than 1~3 years experience were listed in the order. The teachers with less than 1 year experience was the lowest in perceiving the adequacy. With regard to perceiving the adequacy on communication area, social relationship area, art experience area, study of nature area's goals in Nuri Course for 5 year old, the teachers with less than 3~5 years experience was the highest. Next, the teachers with over 5 years experience, the teachers with less than 1~3 years experience were listed in the order. The teachers with less than 1 year experience were the lowest in perceiving the adequacy. With regard to perceiving the adequacy on area structure in Nuri Course for 5 year old, the teachers with over 5 years experience was the highest. Next, the teachers with less than 1~3 years experience, 3~5 years experience were listed in the order. The teachers with less than 1 year experience were the lowest in perceiving the adequacy.
In the perception according to kindergarten teachers' career on the importance of the contents in each physical exercise․health area, communication area, social relationship area, art experience area, study of nature area in Nuri Course for 5 year old, the results examined in each content categories, content showed the difference.
The perception of kindergarten of kindergarten teachers will be able to be used as the basic data for establishing measures to support effective practice in teacher training, teacher supporting system development to achieve the goals in Nuri Course for 5 year old.
