The purpose of this study is analyze the relationships among the factors of job insecurity, job stress and job performance. It focused on testing the moderating effect of intra-company club activities on the relationship among job insecurity, job stress and job performance.
With this, the study intended to suggest research implication applicable to effective business performance and human resource management in hotel business.
In order to realize the purpose of this study, 4 latent variables(job insecurity, job stress, job performance, intra-company club activities) were set up and a survey of 500 hotel employees who work for a first and second class hotel was conducted for 30days from February 15, 2012 to March 15, 2012 in order to achieve the goals mentioned above.
The 481 of the survey was collected among 500 and then The 461 of the survey was used for an actual analysis except for the 20 of the survey which indicated errors.
The frequency analysis was conducted so as to understand the general characteristic of the samples. Before verifying hypothesis of the Model Study, In order to analyze the reliability and validity. A Conceptual validity and reliability were judged through conducting the factorial analysis, reliability analysis and correlation Analysis.
The results of the analysis indicate that all questions were enough for a conceptual validity and reliability.
And the relationships among hotel employee’s job insecurity, job stress and job performance was analyzed through the bivariate regression analysis and the moderating effect of intra-company club activities on the relationship among job insecurity, job stress and job performance was analyzed through the hierarchial regression analysis.
The results of this research were summarized as follows.
First, it is approved that hotel employee’s job insecurity is an important factor determining job stress. In other words, all kinds of job insecurity excepting an control of job environment had a positive effect on job stress.
Second, it is approved that hotel employee’s job stress is also an important factor determining job performance. In other words, all kinds of job stress had a negative effect on job performance.
Third, it is approved that intra-company club activities performed moderating roles in relationship between all kinds of job insecurity excepting an control of job environment and job stress.
Fourth, it is approved that intra-company club activities performed moderating roles in relationship between job stress and job performance.
Therefore it suggested developing and supporting effort for intra-company club activities would be need to accomplish goal of hotel organization, improvement in business performance and human resource management.
