유년시절의 유희적 기억에 대한 조형연구 : 본인 작품을 중심으로 = Formative study about the amusement of memories about childhood:Based on my own paintings

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 유년시절의 유희적 기억을 회상하면서 장면 하나 하나를 작품의 소재로 스토리를 전개해가는 방식으로 그 기억들을 조형적으로 재구성하면서 작품을 진행하였으며 본인의 작품을 중심으로 제시한 논문이다.
앙리 베르그송은 기억이란 살아있는 지속이라 말하고 기억을 두 가지 종류인 ‘습관의 기억’과 ‘회상 기억’으로 나누어 분류하였는데, 본 논문에서는 그 중, 회상기억에 포함되는 유년시절을 중점으로 알아보았다. 여러 가지 이론적인 연구에 따르면 어린 시절의 기억과 경험은 성인이 되어서도 영향을 준다고 하는데, 이는 많은 기억들 중에서도 유년시절의 기억에 대한 연구를 하게 된 이유이다. 그 기억을 더듬어 가다보면 명확하게 혹은 어렴풋이 떠오르기도 하고, 그 당시 공간이나 분위기에 따라 즐거움, 슬픔 등의 여러 감정을 느낄 수 있다. 기억을 회상하는 동안 우리는 그 때의 순수한 마음으로 돌아간다. 본인은 유년시절의 기억을 회상하며 현재 자신의 삶을 되돌아보는 기회를 모색하고, 본 연구자의 작품이 현대를 살아가는 이들에게 잠시나마 바쁜 일상에서 벗어나 여유와 유년시절의 기억을 회상할 마음의 안식처가 되었으면 한다.
본 논문은 기억이 갖는 의미를 살펴본 뒤, 기억이 예술작품에 반영된 사례를 알아보고, 기억 중에서도 유년시절 기억의 특징을 문헌을 통하여 고찰한다. 특히 유년시절의 기억의 유희성에 집중하여 알아보고, 예술의 유희성과 연결하여 설명한다.
그리고 현재의 시점에서 자신의 감정, 행동, 습관 등의 형성에 있어 매우 중요한 역할을 하면서 창조적 영감의 원천이 되는 유년시절의 기억을 예술로 시각화한 예술가들의 작품을 분석하며 그 기억이 그들에게 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 살펴보았다.
여러 개의 유년시절의 기억을 한 화면에 재구성한 본인작품의 의도에 대해 서술하고 이러한 본인 작품의 중요한 역할을 하는 조형적 특징인 다시점과 민화적 요소에 대해서 알아보고, 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 토대로 본인의 유년시절의 기억을 재구성하여 감정과 심상을 표현하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study shows my works which restructured my memories in the way of telling each piece of pleasant memories in childhood as each story. Henri Bergsong said that the memory was the living durability, and classified the memory into two kinds of memories: the 'Memory of Custom' and the 'Memory of Remembrance'. This study focused on the childhood which was included in the 'Memory of Remembrance'. According to several theoretical studies, the memories and experiences in childhood influence on the person after even he/she grew up. That is why I studied about the memories childhood among many memories. Tracing the past memories, I could clearly or vaguely remember events or feel several feelings like joy, sadness, anger, etc depending on the space or the mood at that time. During recollecting past memories, we returns to innocent children at that time. I hope that recollecting the memories of childhood will become the opportunity for audience to look back current their lives, and my works will become a relief for modern people in generous mind with leaving busy daily lives even for a moment to recollect the memories of childhood.
This study investigated the meaning of memories, and researched some cases of art works reflecting memories, and studied the features of memories about childhood among several kinds of memories through the literature review. Especially this study intensively investigated the amusement of memories about childhood, and explained that in connecting with the amusement of art.
And this study analyzed some artists' art works which visualized their memories about childhood as both a very important role and a source of creative inspiration into formative works, and researched how the memories influenced on them.
Then this study told the intention of my work restructuring several memories about childhood in one screen, and investigated the multiple viewpoints and the folk-painting factor, which took important roles in my work, and their influence on my work. Based on the knowledge, I restructured the memories of childhood and expressed my feelings and images about them.
