〈玄氏兩雄雙麟記〉連作 硏究

A series of〈HyunShiYangWoongShangLinKi〉doesn't show 'absence of patriarch' or 'deficit' unlike the early family novels. And, through the vertical conflict which is a core of family novels, they focus on 'conflict between husband and wife' in comparison with early family novels focusing on ‘family awareness’. By considering it, the purpose of this study is to examine characteristics of a series of〈HyunShiYangWoongShangLinKi〉commonly, conflict aspect of characters and writer's recognition.
The common characteristics of the series is to expand the members of family firstly, they are reduced and then expanded again. The second, the series showed the narration that conflict is increased and decreased in the relationship between husband and wife or antagonists. The third, in the narration, there is unrealistic view of the world from the aspect of transformation, dream, supporter of transcendental ability, etc.
The conflict aspect of the series can be divided into individual conflict and social conflict. Individual conflict is shown by individual personality or desire and social conflict is formed by stratum consciousness, external situation or environment. The conflict by each person is caused by personality flaw or distortion as well as character, maid, etc. who promote actively sexual desire. Social conflict is caused by stratum consciousness such as relationship between nobleman or commoners and nobleman families, relationship between imperial family and upper-class nobleman families, relationship between civil servants and military officers, etc. And, the conflict caused by external situation is shown in conflict of father-in-law and son-in-law with bad parents, relationship with hostile character which is external situation. Like that, stratum consciousness means the conflict caused by differences of status or position and the reason of the conflict caused by external situation is misunderstanding or intervention of the third parties.
A writer shows firstly family sense and judgement sense for the contradiction of patriarch right. The second, it judges female awareness distorted by contrast and the third, it accuses of male corruption through the active and passive resistance for male violent and authority. The forth, like the heroine novel, it shows female superiority by suggesting heroine, but there is a limitation.
Our series family novel is aimed to family expanded from each person. A series of〈HyunShiYangWoongShangLinKi〉 is significant because it has an unique structure expanded and reduced. Also, family novel thoroughly emphasizes on and is positive for family awareness, but 〈HyunShiYangWoongShangLinKi〉seems to be positive for family awareness and there is significantly thorough awareness of problem internally. In addition, the conflict between wife and concubine which is appeared daily in family novels is not nearly emphasized and the conflict between men and women is emphasized. It is significant that realism is strongly appeared as the base of family.
