In terms of modern surveying techniques, the Location Determination Technology throughout the Global Positioning System as well as Total Station, one of optical surveying instrument, has been utilized in many areas. With the advancement of science and technology, the high-tech GPS equipment has been recently released.
When the precise location should be determined, the GPS method can be utilized by receiving the satellite signal as a backward intersection. These days the Real-Time localization determination technology using Single RTK method tends to increase rapidly. However, these surveys based on the single RTK method require more than 2 GPS equipment, and as distances among the equipment increase, errors also grows up. Therefore, the positional accuracy would be reduced. Furthermore, when it comes to T/S method, at least more than 2 people have to participate in surveying operation while the Network RTK method enables one person to operate.
This study aims to apply the Network RTK method based on the GPS reference stations to cadastral confirmation surveying area, so that it will contribute to the effective land registration methodology.
First of all, data regarding control points and parcel boundary points with respect to cadastral confirmation surveying area are obtained using the Network RTK method. After that, analyzing and comparing the data are conducted.
Second of all, After the accuracy is analyzed by comparing the data regarding control points and parcel boundary points resulting from the VRS and T/S method and the data registered in cadastral records, it turns out that the results meet the accuracy regulation specified in the article 27, "the accuracy scope of cadastral surveying results", Cadastral Surveying Operation Rules.
In this paper, the accuracy of the Network RTK method is analyzed, and its possible applications are presented by analyzing and comparing results regarding control points and parcel boundary points in cadastral confirmation surveying area throughout the Network RTK service carried out in the South Korea. Consequently, it is expected that this study will maximize the efficiency of land registration in cadastral confirmation surveying area.
