산업연관분석을 이용한 고령친화식품산업에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라 인구성장률은 점점 둔화되고 있는 반면 고령자는 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 고령자의 증가와 더불어 이들을 대상으로 하는 제품과 서비스 활동이 증가하게 됨에 따라 고령친화산업이 미래의 차세대 성장 동력으로 주목받고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고령친화산업 중 “노인의 삶의 질 향상”에 필수적인 조건인 생명 유지를 목적으로 하는 식품을 고령친화산업에서 중추적인 역할을 수행한다고 판단하고, 고령친화식품산업의 체계적 관리 및 제도의 도입을 위해서 무엇보다도 고령친화식품산업의 다각적인 분석이 필요하다는 인식아래, 산업연관분석을 이용하여 고령친화식품산업의 구조에 대한 분석, 경제적 효과 분석, 식품산업과 고령친화식품산업의 비교를 통해서 고령친화식품산업이 타산업 전체에 미치는 영향을 분석해보았다.
분석결과, 식품산업에 가장 큰 영향을 받는 산업은 농림수산품이고 고령친화식품산업 역시 음식료품 다음으로 영향을 받는 산업이 농림수산품으로 나타났다. 또 식품산업의 생산유발효과 보다 고령친화식품산업의 생산유발효과가 0.9100원, 비율로는 약 75% 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 식품산업의 취업유발효과보다 고령친화식품산업의 취업유발효과가 3.7485명, 비율로는 약 22% 큰 것으로 나타났다.
식품산업보다 고령친화식품산업이 생산 및 취업유발효과가 앞서 나타난 결과처럼 매우 큰 이유는 고령친화식품산업에 속하는 품목인 건강기능식품과 특수용도식품이 제품화되는 과정에서 일반 식품과 달리 특수한 용도와 성분에 맞게 가공되기 위해 복잡한 단계를 거치기 때문이라고 판단하고, 앞으로 고령친화식품산업을 육성하기 위한 제도 개선과 정책의 추진이 어떤 부분에 집중적으로 이루어져야 할지에 대해서 살펴보았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The rate of domestic population growth has decreased gradually, but the number of senior citizens has increased continuously. As the products and services for senior citizens increase, aging-friendly industry has come to the fore as a driving force of next-generation growth in the future. In this study, the investigator regarded the food of which aim was to sustain life, one of indispensable conditions for "the improvement of senior citizens' life quality", as playing a pivotal role in the aging-friendly industry. In addition, the investigator thought it was necessary to analyze the aging-friendly industry multi-laterally in order to introduce and manage it systematically and examined its structure, economic effects and influence upon other industries on the whole by means of comparing between food industry and aging-friendly food industry, using the technique of input-output analysis. Study findings are as follows:
The industry that is most greatly influenced by the food industry is the industry of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. And its influence upon the aging-friendly food industry is next to drink products. The production inducement effect of aging-friendly food industry is greater by 0.9100 won, namely by about 75% than that of food industry. As for the employment inducement effect, aging-friendly food industry is greater by 3.7485 persons, namely by about 22% than that of ordinary food industry.
The reason why aging-friendly food industry's inducement effect on production and employment is far greater than that of ordinary food industry seems to be related to the fact that different from ordinary food products, the health functional food and special usage food of aging-friendly food industry must go through complex steps for it to be processed into the products that have special usages and ingredients. In this vein, the investigator examined the strategy of promoting the aging-friendly food industry, focusing on where the improvement of systems and implementation of policies had to be concentrated on.
