새터민을 위한 장소별 학습어휘 교육 연구 = A Study of the Methods for Teaching Learning Words in Place to Saeteomin

국문 초록 (Abstract)

북한사회의 경제난으로 인한 굶주림을 피하기 위해 북한을 이탈하여 남한에 입국하는 새터민들의 수가 급격히 증가하고 있으며, 새터민들은 분단 이후 남북한 간의 사회 체제로 인해 남한과 매우 이질적인 문화적 배경을 가지고 있다. 이로 인해 특히 초기정착단계에서 문화적인 상황맥락에 대한 이해가 부족하여 남한 주민들과 의사소통이 이루어지지 않는 경우가 발생하고 있으며, 이는 외래어 및 한자어와 같은 어휘에서 가장 두드러지게 나타나고 있다.
새터민들의 언어적응 문제를 해결하기 위해 본고에서는 Hymes(1972) 'SPEAKING'모델에서 담화의 요소로 제시된 ‘배경(scene)’으로서의 ‘장소’ 를 중심으로 새터민들의 초기 적응에 필요한 어휘를 선정하고 교육방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이러한 장소는 새터민들이 초기에 방문하여 남한주민들과 대화하게 되는 일상적인 장소들을 중심으로 선정하였으며, 장소별로 발생할 수 있는 기본적인 담화상황에서 선정한 어휘 및 표현과 심화된 담화상황에서 사용될 수 있는 어휘 및 표현을 제시하고 이를 위한 교육방안을 제시하였다. 2장에서는 새터민들의 남한 사회적응 현황을 파악하기 위해 새터민들의 언어적응 현황과 문화적응 현황을 제시하였다. 3장에서는 새터민들을 위한 어휘교육의 필요성과 장소를 중심으로 한 담화상황 어휘교육의 필요성을 언급하였으며, 새터민 어휘교육을 위한 장소를 선정하여 제시하였다. 4장에서는 장소별 담화상황을 제시하였으며 담화상황을 중심으로 한 기본 및 심화어휘를 선정한 후 이러한 어휘를 바탕으로 새터민들에게 설문을 조사하여 새터민들의 어휘인지도를 조사하여 저인지 어휘를 제시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 대표적인 장소로 ‘은행’과 ‘미용실’을 중심으로 한 학습단계별 어휘 학습방안을 제시하였다.
새터민들의 정착에 실제적인 도움을 줄 수 있는 어휘 교육에 대한 세부적인 연구와 어휘 목록이 구체적이고 체계적으로 만들어지고, 이를 교육하기 위한 효과적인 교육 방안에 대한 연구가 더 많이 이루어지기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The number of Nouth Korean who gain entry into South Korea is increasing rapidly. They come to South Korea to avoid starvation caused economic crisis of North Korea.
They are called 'Saeteomin'. They are in very special position in South Korea. While they use the same language with South Korea, they have the very different cultural background after the division of the Korean peninsula.
So, they suffered from the difficulties of the communication with the South Koreans, especially in the first stage of settlement. Their communication disorders with South koreans are intensified especially in 'loanword' 'Sino-Korean word'. These kinds of words very related to the culture. Through The influence of communication disorders has a bad effect on their first stage of settlement.
In order to solve these problems, following the 'Space background' from 'Hymes(1972) 'SPEAKING' model theory, this study shows discourses situation where Saeteomin will visit in the first stage of settlement, and essential words and expressions in their discourse situations. Then, this study shows education plans for this essential words and expressions needed in the discourse situations.
This paper is consist of 5 chapters. The first chapter informs the object and necessity of this research, points out academic problems, and states previously-determined conclusion. The second chapter shows the present state in Saeteomin's linguistic and cultural adaptation in South korea. The third chapter present the 'essential place for Saeteomin's word education it in the first stage of settlement. The forth chapter present 'discorse situation in the place that Saeteomin should visit in the first stage of settlement. and sorts basic and intensive words and expressions. The last chapter summarizes and makes a suggestion based that above analysis.
At the end, it should constitute an effective teaching scenario later based on this discourse situational words and expressions in the place.
