The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among positive illusions of middle school students, their altruistic behaviors, and their satisfaction with their school life.
The research questions raised in this study were as follows:
1. Is there any relationship between positive illusions and altruistic behaviors of middle school students?
2. Is there any relationship between positive illusions and satisfaction with school life of middle school students?
3. Is there any relationship between altruistic behaviors and satisfaction with school life of middle school students?
The participants in this study were 240 students of a middle school in Cheongju. The data collected were analyzed using t-tests by SPSS 15.0 computer program.
The results of this research are as follows:
1. It was found that the higher group in the level of positive illusions scored significantly higher in altruistic behaviors than the lower group.
2. It was found that the higher group in the level of positive illusions scored significantly higher in satisfaction with their school life than the lower group.
3. It was found that the higher group in the level of altruistic behaviors scored significantly higher in satisfaction with their school life than the lower group.
