The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between learning flow perceived by high school students and career maturity
To achieve this purpose, the research questions were as follows;
Following are some questions for achieving the above purpose.
First, are there any significant differences in perceived learning flow of high school students according to high school types?
Second, are there any significant differences in career maturity according to the gender of high school students?
Third, are there any significant relationships between perceived learning flow and career maturity of high school students?
The participants of the study were 236 second grade high school students, consisting of 115 general high school students and 137 commercial high school students in Chung-buk.
To measure learning flow and career maturity, a Learing Flow questionaire made by Lee, Ji-Hye(2009) and Career Maturity Scale made by KRIVET(2001) were used. The data were processed through SPSS 15.0 and analyzed by t-test.
The major findings of the study were as follows.
First, there was a significant difference in the learning flow of the high school students according to high school types. General high school students' learning flow showed to be higher than commercial high school students' learning flow.
Second, there was a significant difference in the career maturity of the high school students according to high school types. General high school students' career maturity showed to be higher than commercial high school students' career maturity.
Third, there was a significant relationship between perceived learning flow and career maturity of high school students. The group of students who experienced more learning flow showed to be higher in career maturity than the group of students experienced less learning flow.
