The purpose of this study were to examine the effects of psychological capital on social support and job satisfaction, and to examine the mediating effects of the social support. In order to verify the relationships and mediating effect, data were obtained from 275 employees working in firms at Changwon City were analyzed by using SPSS 12.0. and AMOS 5.0.
The findings are as follows: Firstly, there was a positive relationship between psychological capital and social support. Secondly, there was also a positive relationship between social support and job satisfaction. Thirdly, there was also a positive relationship between psychological capital and job satisfaction. Finally, the social support was a full mediating effect on the relationship between psychological capital and job satisfaction.
Based on these findings, it is suggested that employees' psychological capital and social support were developed to increase job satisfaction. To increase job satisfaction, managers ought to develop the psychological capital and social support. The limitations of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.
