문화간 의사소통 능력 신장을 위한 문화기호 교육 방안

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As societies become more global, acquiring an understanding of other cultures and customs become a necessity. Especially, when communication is between people with different world views, special skills are necessary. The most important skill is understanding the context within which the communication takes place. This context is to a large extent culturally determined. So it is impossible to communicate completely without understanding contexts. In other words, it is very significant to understand the context in intercultural communicative environment. This study sets out in this theoretical background.
The purpose of this study is to suggest the teaching method of Cultural sign for improving intercultural communication competence in Korean culture education.
Chapter Ⅱ examines the notion of intercultural communication competence and Cultural sign. Then it reveals the efficiency of teaching Cultural sign in Korean culture education for improving intercultural communication competence.
Chapter Ⅲ reveals the educational content of Cultural sign and the points to be specially considered for educating Culture sign in the classroom.
Chapter Ⅳ proposes the teaching-learning model based on intercultural communication for developing learners' cultural sense through observation and comparison. Futhermore, based on this model, I simply set an example of the teaching Cultural sign on the basis of Korean funeral manners.
Finally, this study is considered meaningful in that it studied Korean culture education method using Cultural sign, which has never been used in Korea culture education, and suggested a new direction through this.
