공공기관 모바일 GIS 콘텐츠 개선 및 활용방안에 관한 연구 : 서울시 활용사례를 중심으로 = A Study on the Improvement of Usability of Public Organization's Mobile GIS Contents: Focused on the Cases of Seoul

국문 초록 (Abstract)

모바일 GIS 콘텐츠 이용은 얼마 전까지만 해도 비싼 무선 인터넷 요금, 무선 통신 인프라 부족, 모바일 단말기 보급 미흡 등으로 대중화가 되지 못했다. 하지만, 스마트폰의 도입과 함께 무제한 무선 요금제 출시, 무선랜(Wi-Fi) 및 이동통신 인프라에 대한 투자 및 구축 확대, 국내외 제조사들의 다양한 모바일 단말기 보급 증가 등으로 인해 모바일 GIS 콘텐츠 이용이 크게 증가하고 있다.
기존의 휴대폰이 통신 및 멀티미디어 위주의 서비스를 제공하는 반면, 스마트폰은 GPS(Global Positioning System)를 이용한 위치인식 기술과 전자 나침반(Digital Compass)을 이용한 방향인식 기술, 이동통신사에서 제공하는 무선통신기술이 융·복합되어 공간정보(Geospatial Web)를 플랫폼으로 활용하는 상황인식서비스를 부가해 우리 일상생활은 물론 경제활동에 미치는 영향이 확산되고 있다.
공공기관 모바일 GIS 도입은 업무의 효율성 증대와 대국민 서비스 향상을 목적으로 추진하고 있다. 업무의 효율성 증대에서는 모바일 단말기를 이용한 단속, 조사, 시설물 관리업무에서 사용되고 있으며, 대국민 서비스 분야에는 교통상황 안내, 버스도착 안내 등 교통정보, 관광정보, 방재, 치안, 날씨정보 등에서 사용되고 있다.
국내·외 모바일 GIS의 적용사례 분석과 공공기관 모바일 GIS 콘텐츠 이용자들의 특성을 조사하고, 이용자들의 요구사항 및 최신 정보기술 적용으로 모바일 GIS 콘텐츠 개선 및 활용 방안을 도출하여, 공공기관 모바일 GIS 업무의 정책적 활용방안을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Until just recently, Mobile internet service has not been much popular mainly due to the fact that mobile devices were not yet widely prevalent, and sufficient wireless communication infrastructure was not available. Relatively expensive service charge was also another factor.
But thanks to the introduction of smartphones and repeated expansion of mobile networks(such as Wi-Fi), It seems mobile internet service market is entering upon a new phase nowdays. Service providers brought the unlimited internet access package, and international device manufacturers are launching various models of brand new smartphone line-ups to march in step with general tendency.
While mobile service from conventional mobile phones were limited to basic communication function and multimedia contents, A smartphone offers more advanced computing ability and connectivity than a contemporary feature phone with their cutting edge technologies such as GPS(Global Positioning System) and Digital compass navigation. These abilities are being combined to wireless network and services from mobile carriers, It enables conceptual data modeling for context-aware services based on the geospatial web for specific areas as its platform which have affected the quality of human life and overall industries.
Adapting mobile GIS technologies to the public organization service is aiming at improved efficiency and enhanced service for the public. Mobile devices are being used at the maintenance of public buildings, research activity in the category of improving efficiency. GIS technologies can be serviced for the public by sharing information such as Real time traffic, BIS(Bus Information System), transportation and tourism, emergency, public order and weather forecast.
Analyzing practical examples of GIS adaption to the public organization service and researching the characteristics of mobile GIS contents users would be the most efficient way to suggest solutions to enhance the public organization GIS mobile service quality by developing the cutting edge technology mobile GIS contents based on demand and ideas from the users.
