수업전문성 신장을 위한 음악교사학습공동체 활동 사례연구

The present study explored the activities of music teacher learning community for enhancing music teaching professionalism and inquired meaning from the learning community activities
For this purpose, the qualitative case study was chosen in method and done from september of 2010 to march of 2011, about 7 months. Collected data of the study present the process of learning community through proceedings, video recording with such as lesson plan, teaching observation diaries, reflective journals, interviewing materials.
The process of research analysis was as in the following. At first, Researcher was selecting the sentence which was deeply related to subject of research. Next, the selected sentences was classified into the lists of sub categories. Based on the relations between sub categories, higher categories were generated through in-depth coding. For examining the developmental process of the community, node of contents, its frequency, and categorized text were analyzed through Nvivo 9.
The results shows that the main activities of the learning community were analyzing text books, watching lesson video, sharing their diverse experience , exchanging teaching data and skills , freely having discussion how to solve the problem in class as well as collaborative preparing new semester.
As a result, these activities contribute to not only facilitating preparing for class but also identifying factors which attribute to enhancement of teaching professionalism. And they presented blue print of teacher learning community. So this case eventually verified that learning community lead teacher to enhancement of sense of confidence about professionalism. Accordingly, this study had great significance since we could make sure of advantages of learning community.
However, the limiting factor of this case study is that the researching period is a little bit short and community is consist of members those are from same colleges. Thus, in order to an in-depth study, next research need to observe the new community organized team members with various background for long time. furthermore, There should be follow-up research and discussion conducted about teacher learning community for enhancing professionalism after improving weak point of this study such as role of leaders or administrative and financial support.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 수업전문성 증진을 위해 구성된 음악교사들의 교사학습공동체에서 일어나는 일들을 살펴보고, 교사들의 학습공동체 참여활동의 의미를 고찰하고자 실시하였다.
연구는 질적 연구 방법 중의 하나인 사례연구법을 채택하여 2010년 9월부터 2011년 3월까지 7개월에 걸쳐 진행된 음악교사학습공동체의 활동과정을 관찰하였다. 그리고 회의록과 학습지도안, 수업촬영, 반성저널, 관찰일지, 인터뷰 등을 통해 다양한 각도에서 자료를 수집하였다.
연구 분석은 저장된 자료들을 여러 번 읽으면서 음악수업이나 교사학습공동체의 운영에 관한 내용으로 연구주제와 관련이 깊다고 판단된 문장을 선택하여 코딩하였다. 그리고 이 때 생성된 하위주제들 중 핵심적인 내용들을 정렬하여 목록으로 만들었다. 이후 주제들 간의 관계를 연결하고 범주화하여 상위주제로 묶어 나가는 심층코딩을 실시하여 이를 바탕으로 주제를 생성하였다. 그리고 교사학습공동체의 발전과정을 살펴보기 위하여 Nvivo 9의 기능을 활용하여 회의별 코딩내용과 빈도의 추이 및 주제별로 코딩된 텍스트를 검색하여 내용의 변화과정을 살펴보았다.
연구 결과 음악교사학습공동체 내에서는 교과서 분석 및 수업 촬영 후 분석, 새 학기 공동준비를 비롯해 다양한 수업자료와 방법에 대한 공유 및 수업문제해결에 대한 논의 등이 이루어졌음을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 그리고 교사학습공동체의 이러한 과정들은 교사들의 수업준비에 대한 촉진제가 되었을 뿐 아니라 교사들이 필요로 하는 수업공동체의 청사진을 그려볼 수 있도록 해주었다. 또한 수업전문성 향상요인들을 모임에서 일어나는 활동들을 통해 확인 할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 음악교사학습공동체의 사례를 살펴봄으로써 교사학습공동체 활동의 실재를 확인할 수 있었다는데 그 의의가 있다.
다만 연구기간이 짧고 공동체를 구성함에 있어서 같은 대학의 선후배들로 이루어진 것이 본 연구사례의 제한적 요소이다. 따라서 보다 심도 있는 연구를 위해서는 장기간 교사학습공동체의 과정을 관찰할 뿐 아니라 다양한 배경을 가진 교사들로 구성된 공동체의 모습을 연구해 볼 필요가 있다. 또한 이 연구결과를 기점으로 이번 공동체 운영과정에서 미흡했던 리더의 역할이나 행정적․재적정인 지원 등을 보완하여 교사학습공동체에 와 관련된 후속 연구와 논의가 뒤따라야 할 것이다.
