학습된 무기력이 대인관계에 미치는 영향 : 고립, 공감을 매개로 = (The) influence of Learned helplessness on interpersonal relationship

The study were examined about between learned helplessness and interpersonal relationship of the mediating effects of empathy and isolation.
For this purpose, 397 college students(male 204, female 193) were asked to respond the survey which was used in this study. All subjects were tested with Learned helplessness scale, Interpersonal Reactivity Index scale, emotional/social aspects of loneliness and isolation scale and Relationship Change Scale.
The study used descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, structural equation analysis and SPSS 12.0 program and AMOS 7.0 program for analysis of study question established.
The result of this study are summarized as follows.
First, Learned helplessness and interpersonal relationship were correlated with negative association.
Second, data from analysing correlation of Learned helplessness, empathy, isolation. Learned helplessness and empathy were correlated with positive association. And Learned helplessness and isolaton were correlated with negative association.
Third, data analysing mediating effects of relation between Learned helplessness, empathy, isolation, interpersonal relationship. Result were Learned helplessness and interpersonal relationship mediated to isolation.
And the direct effects, indirect effects were all statistically significant. Learned helplessness and interpersonal relationship were not mediated to empathy. That is the reason why caused the level of helplessness as a result of surveyed patients were not pathological.
In the conclusion, the significance and limits of the study and implication were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 학습된 무기력과 대인관계에서 공감과 고립의 매개효과를 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 남녀 대학생 397명(남자 204명, 여자 193명)을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 연구도구는 학습된 무기력을 측정하기 위하여 신기명(1990)이 개발한 학습된 무력감 진단척도를 사용하였고, 공감을 측정하기 위해서 Davis(1983)가 개발한 대인반응성지표(IRI, Interpersonal Reactivity Index)를 사용하였으며 고립을 측정하기 위하여 Vincenzi 와 Grabosky(1987)가 개발한 사회적⋅정서적 고립척도(emotional/social aspects of loneliness and isolation; ESLI)를 사용하였고, 대인관계를 측정하기 위하여 Schiein 과 Guerenet(1971)의 대인관계 척도(Relationship Change Scale)를 사용하였다.
분석방법으로는 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 회귀분석, 구조방정식이 사용되었으며 SPSS 12.0과 AMOS7.0 통계 프로그램을 활용하여 검증하였다.
연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 대학생의 학습된 무기력이 대인관계의 변화에 미치는 영향을 알아본 결과 유의미한 부적상관을 보였다.
둘째, 학습된 무기력과 공감, 고립간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 학습된 무기력은 공감에 유의미한 정적상관을 보였으며, 학습된 무기력과 고립은 유의미한 부적상관을 보였다.
셋째, 학습된 무기력이 대인관계에서 고립과 공감의 매개효과를 알아본 결과, 학습된 무기력과 대인관계에서 고립이 매개역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었고 직접효과, 간접효과에서 모두 유의미하였다. 그리고 학습된 무기력과 대인관계에서 공감이 매개역할을 하지 않았는데 이는 본 연구의 대상자들이 무기력에 대한 수준이 병리적이지 않기 때문으로 추론된다.
끝으로, 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점에 관하여 논의하였다.
