      The diffusion of social media like Twitter is redefining the notion of media and journalism. It is also boosting changes in thoughts about journalism as well as reporters' covering method.
      This research focuses on reporters' thoughts about Twitter fever, agenda-setting, influence on journalism.
      According to this research, three reporters among ten are using Twitter for covering and selecting article items.
      Although most reporters aren't using Twitter, it is likely that reporter' using Twitter will be increasing gradually as social network service(SNS) is becoming popular.
      The frequency of reporters' using Twitter depends on their departments. Reporters in the local or regional news departments which need quickly checking public opinion on society issues and unexpected situation are using Twitter so much. They are feeling it's so helpful in covering and writing articles.
      As famous writers, artists and broadcasters express their opinions about social issues and so on through twitter, reporters in the culture department are also putting Twitter to use as their useful news coverage means.
      Reporters in the economy department who usually choose the news items on a basis of government's announcements or data, or ones in the international department who depend on foreign press are indicated that their utilization of Twitter is low.
      The younger or the shorter in their careers, the higher utilization of Twitter. However in case of veteran reporters over 10 year career, one of four reporters answered that he use Twitter for news coverage.
      Regardless of their department, age and media etc, most of reporters agreed that the function of forming discussion and the twitter opinion affect the existing press' setting news topics.
      Reporters using Twitter for news coverage point out the advantage of Twitter that they can get diverse information faster than any other source. Twitter is used as reference for agenda setting and they can get feedback on articles promptly.
      Reporters who aren't using Twitter feel unfamiliar with communication by a short sentence within 140 characters. They think criticism function of press can become weakened because reports can be oriented to arousing interests.
      Whether using twitter or not, reporters acknowledged Twitter' influence on creating and delivering information as well as agenda setting. But they reserve judgement whether Twitter will develop into the journalism area or not.
      There are a number of examples that information and public opinion distributed via Twitter affect agenda building of existing press.
      As Twitter is changing the paradigm of media, it becomes a trend that the press sistematically introduce Twitter as covering, communicating and promoting means beyond reporters' individual using.
