In this study, a group game play program was conducted with the subject of old people to inquire the effect of a group game play program on reminiscence function and ego-integrity of old people. For the subjects of this study, 40 old people who are older than 65 years old and are not depressed were selected by conducting BDI and the basic survey for social demographic characteristics to select old people who are not depressed. Among them, both the experimental group of 20 persons that conducted a group game play program and the control group of 20 persons that didn't were tested by reminiscence function and ego-integrity, and the comparison of post test of both the experimental group and the control group over it was made and the pre- and post-changes were analyzed and evaluated. Besides, the behavioral changes of old people were evaluated by the process of a group game play program such as the initial stage, the conversion stage, the execution stage and the ending stage. The results of the study are as follows.
First, a group game play program was found to be effective in offering information among reminiscence functions of old people and in reduction of the tedium among enhancement of amusement and in preparation for death and solving problems in functions of solving problems and in self-investigation of retrospect functions of their lives.
Second, a group game play program improved the score of attitude that has value and meaning over a life among ego-integrity of old people. The experimental group that attended a group game play program showed a meaningful difference in the attitude toward their lives among post test of ego-integrity compared to the control group. In other words, the experiment group acquired higher score in the attitude toward their lives than the control group and in the pre- and post-changes of ego-integrity, in the case of the control group, it was found that the score was meaningfully rather lowered in the post-changes compared to the pre-changes in the attitude towards their lives.
Last but not least, the score of positive actions of a group game play program meaningfully went up by the stages of proceeding in the behavioral changes of old people who attended the program.
