고등학교 음악 교과서의국악감상영역분석 및 지도방안 연구

As one of the activities carried out in the music curricula, appreciation seems to be the most fundamental element that provides meaning to all the musical activities and endeavors. In the unit of Korean music appreciation in the current 7th curricula, more importance is attached to the domestic musical culture than ever. On account of this, the purpose of this study was to examine the meaning of music appreciation, the importance of music appreciation, the method of music appreciation, the content and process of guidance plan of music appreciation, the current status of music appreciation education, the teaching/learning method of Korean music appreciation, focusing on the analysis and appreciation of thematic songs in the textbook 『High School Music』 (Hyeondae Music Publishing Company) and then worked out a guidance plan of Korean music appreciation.
For this, a questionnaire survey of 46 students at Banpo High School in Seoul was carried out. Based on the examination of collected data, the investigator presented an effective teaching/learning method of appreciation and a guidance plan of appreciation which taking students' tastes into account for music appreciation, comprising such fields as appreciation, performance and singing, making students experience various educational tools, musical materials and musical instruments firsthand, and then providing students opportunities for the discussion on personal feeling. On the basis of the analysis of actual status and the method of study, this study is concluded as follows:
First, as for the guidance plan of appreciation, out of thematic songs in the unit of Korean music appreciation presented in the textbook 『High School Music』, such three songs as Yeongsanhoesang, <the Rice-planting Song in Sangju>―three musical variations composed by Baek Dae-ung for three gayageums―and <Sunrise> composed by Jeong Dae-seok for geomungo solo were presented in order.
Second, in order to improve the guidance plan of Korean music appreciation, on the basis of questionnaire survey, the investigator presented (1) the guidance plan of appreciation of Korean music appeared in the movies in consideration of student's tastes for music and Korean music; (2) the guidance plan of comparative appreciation of Korean music and Western music; (3) the guidance plan of comparative appreciation of creative songs for gayageum and creative songs performed by gayageum bands, B-BOY team, DJ and so on; (4) the guidance plan of comparative appreciation of Korean musical instrument geomungo and Western musical instrument contrabass; and (5) the guidance plan of discussing on musical theory, historical truth and feeling,
Third, the investigator presented such a guidance plan of appreciation that could provide students opportunities to contact with a variety of educational tools and musical data in addition to music textbooks and perform musical instruments firsthand, make students analyze musical scores in order for them to improve their interest, concern and taste for Korean music appreciation, and check a new Korean look through creative Korean music which was embedded with traditions.
Fourth, it is necessary to provide students many opportunities to appreciate music and Korean music they like, thus enhancing their concentration on music and making them think and imagine much. In addition, by providing music teachers opportunities to get training for Korean music, it is necessary to make them understand Korean music and historical truth, deliver acquired knowledge to students, understand the diversity of Korean musical instruments, experience a variety of Korean musical instruments firsthand, and comparatively appreciate Korean music and Western music. Therefore, it is necessary to make teachers and students alike understand the essence of Korean music. In addition, it is necessary to make students have interests in and improve understanding of Korea in which student's dream and hope are realized, via the advanced looks of motherland and its music.
Before making students understand music theoretically, it is necessary to examine students' thought, behavior and development, together with their interest in and preference for basic music. In this vein, the education of music appreciation must help students to feel and realize music through their sense organs and then discover the sense of music for themselves. On account of this, based on understanding the importance of basic music and designing the methods of teaching and learning of appreciation and the guidance plan of appreciation, it is necessary to guide students to increase interests in Korean music and improve musical sensitivity through Korean music appreciation. It is also necessary to continuously implement such music education that delivers music and Korean music―one of Korean colors―pleasantly. In addition, students must realize the fact that music education is closely related to a variety of areas, such as humanities, art, physical education, history, language, mathematics and philosophy, and share musical aesthetics among them.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

음악과 교육과정에서 진행되고 있는 활동 중 감상은 음악의 모든 활동과 진행방향에 의미를 주는 가장 기본적인 요소라고 할 수 있고, 현재 제7차 교육과정의 국악 감상영역에서는 우리의 음악 문화를 예전보다 중요시하여 진행한다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 국악 감상 지도방안을 제시하기 위해 음악 감상의 의미, 음악 감상교육의 중요성, 음악 감상 방법, 음악 감상교육 지도 내용 및 과정, 음악 감상교육의 실태, 『고등학교 음악』(현대음악출판사)교과서의 제재곡 분석 및 감상 중심 교수·학습 방법 등을 알아보았고 이것을 토대로 국악 감상 지도방안을 구체화하였다. 현 서울 반포고등학교 학생 46명을 대상으로 음악 감상교육의 설문지 통계를 분석한 결과를 통하여 음악 감상을 할 때 학생들의 음악적 취향을 고려하고, 감상 및 연주와 가창 등의 영역을 종합하며, 다양한 교구와 음악자료 및 직접 악기연주를 체험하면서, 각자의 느낀 점을 토론할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 효과적인 감상 교수·학습 방법 및 감상 지도방안을 제시하였다. 이로서 실태분석 및 연구방법을 통한 결론은 다음과 같다.

첫째, 『고등학교 음악』교과서에 제시된 국악 감상 제재곡 중 영산회상, 백대웅의 세대의 가야금을 위한 세 개의 변주곡 <상주 모심기소리>, 정대석 거문고 독주곡 <일출> 순서대로 감상 지도방안을 제시한다.
둘째, 설문 조사를 중심으로 국악 감상영역의 지도방안 개선을 위해 학생들의 음악 및 국악에 대한 취향을 고려한 영화 속에 등장하는 국악 감상, 국악과 양악의 비교 감상, 가야금 창작곡과 가야금연주단, B-BOY팀, DJ 등이 연주하는 창작곡 비교 감상, 국악기 거문고와 양악기 콘트라베이스 비교 감상, 음악이론과 역사적 사실 및 느낀 점 등을 토론할 수 있는 감상 지도방안을 제시한다.
셋째, 음악교과서 외에 다양한 교구와 음악자료 및 직접 악기연주를 할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고 국악 감상에 대한 학생들의 이해와 관심, 흥미를 위한 악보분석과 한국의 전통을 흡수한 창작국악을 통하여 새로운 한국의 모습을 확인하는 국악 감상 지도방안을 제시한다.
넷째, 학생들이 좋아하는 분야의 음악 및 국악 감상을 할 수 있는 기회가 많아지면서 집중도를 높이고 새로운 생각과 상상을 많이 할 수 있길 바란다. 그리고 음악교사에게 국악 연수의 기회를 주면서 국악과 역사적 사실의 이해 및 전달과 국악기의 다양함, 각 악기의 직접적인 경험, 국악과 양악의 비교 감상 등 교사와 학생 모두에게 국악의 본질을 알 수 있도록 한다. 또, 한국과 국악의 발전된 모습을 통하여 학생들의 꿈과 희망이 자라는 대한민국에 대한 관심과 이해가 계속적으로 이어지길 바란다.

음악에 대한 이론적인 이해를 하기 이전에 학생들의 생각과 행동, 발달과 함께 기본적인 음악에 대한 관심과 호감도를 살펴보고 신체적 감각기관을 통한 느낌과 깨달음이 전달되면서 스스로의 음악적 감각을 발견할 수 있도록 도와주는 음악 감상교육이 진행되어야 한다. 이로서 기본적인 음악에 대한 중요성과 감상 교수·학습 방법 및 감상 지도방안과 같은 체제를 바탕으로 학생들의 국악에 대한 관심과 음악적 감수성이 더욱 풍부해질 수 있는 국악 감상을 지도하고, 음악과 한국의 한 색채인 국악을 즐겁게 전달하는 음악교육이 끊임없이 이어지도록 하며, 더 나아가 음악 이외의 인문, 예술, 체육, 역사, 언어, 수학, 철학 등 수 많은 분야와 연결되어 진행되고 있음을 전달하면서 음악의 아름다움을 함께 나눌 수 있도록 한다.
