The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of Interpersonal Competence in the relationship between Ambivalence on Emotional Expressiveness and college adjustment, Satisfaction in Interpersonal relationship. 393 college students answered the questionnaire consisting of Ambivalence on Emotional Expressiveness, Interpersonal Competence, Adjustment to college and Satisfaction in Interpersonal relationship. The results are summarized as follows. First, Ambivalence on Emotional Expressiveness was showed a significant negative correlations with Interpersonal Competence, Adjustment to College Life, and Interpersonal relationships Satisfaction. Second, Interpersonal Competence mediated partly the relationships between Ambivalence on Emotional Expressiveness and Adjustment to College Life. Third, Interpersonal Competence mediated partly the relationships between Ambivalence on Emotional Expressiveness and Interpersonal relationships Satisfaction.
Finally, the implication of the results and suggestions for further research were discussed.
