The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of Rejection Sensitivity, Self-Encouragement, and Interpersonal Competence of undergraduate students. The subjects were 390 college students in Chon-buk province. They were assessed by Rejection Sensitivity Questionnaire(RSQ), Self-Encouragement Inventory(SEI), and Korean Interpersonal Competence Questionnaire(K-ICQ)
The results are summarized as follows: First, Rejection Sensitivity was negatively correlated with the Interpersonal Competence. Second, Self-encouragement was positively correlated with the Interpersonal Competence. Third, Behavioral Self-Encouragement and Rejection Expectation are significantly influenced on Interpersonal Competence. In addition, the implication and limitation of this research were discussed, and suggestions for future research were proposed.
