우리나라 의료관광 만족도와 충성도에 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 : 의료서비스와 관광서비스를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 관광산업과 의료산업을 접목시킨 의료관광 활성화를 위해 선진의료관광 국가와 우리나라와의 비교를 통해 의료관광 국가를 선택하는 것에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하고 우리나라의 경우 어떠한 요인들이 차별화할 수 있는 요인인지 확인하려고 한다. 또한 우리나라를 의료관광 목적지로 선택하는데 있어, 우리나라 의료관광의 어떠한 특성들이 긍정적인 영향을 주고, 부정적인 영향을 미치는지를 분석하기 위해서 의료서비스와 관광서비스를 분리․분석하여 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구를 통해 우리나라를 의료관광목적지로 선택한 의료관광객의 만족도를 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하고, 이를 토대로 의료관광 재이용율 증가를 가져올 수 있도록 보완하고 강화해야 하는 서비스 부분을 파악하여 의료관광에 대한 필요한 전략 수립에 사용할 수 있을 것이다.
본 연구에서는 2009년 한국관광공사에서 실시한 <2009년 의료관광 경험자 만족도 조사>의 설문조사를 이용하여 연구한 것으로 설문조사 결과를 재코딩 분석하여, 우리나라를 의료관광목적지로 선택하여 이용한 의료관광객의 만족도와 충성도에 영향을 미치는 인구통계학적 변수와 주요 요인 의료서비스와 관광서비스 부분을 구분하여 의료서비스와 관광서비스에 대한 요인분석, 회귀분석을 통하여 분석한 주요 결과는 다음과 같다.
조사대상자의 인구통계학적 특성에 대한 빈도분석 결과, 조사 대상의 인구통계학적 특성은 평균 연령이 40.73세, 평균 우리나라 의료관광 방문기간은 30 ~ 90일이 46.5%으로 가장 높았고, 평균 소득은 $1500 ~ $3000가 33.2%였다. 여성이 72.4%를 차지하였으며, 방문목적으로는 ‘의료서비스와 관광활동 모두 관심이 있다’라고 답한 경우는 45.5%였다. 가족월평균수입은 1500$이상~3000$미만이 33.2%로 가장 많았으며, 국적은 일본 70.4%, 러시아 11.0% 순이었다.
우리나라를 방문한 의료관광객 만족도 및 충성도에 대한 각 요소들에 대한 요인 분석 결과, 의료서비스 평가는 우리나라 의료서비스의 신뢰성(의료진의 전문성, 의료진의 신뢰성, 의료기관의 시설수준, 의료기관 직원의 친절도, 의료시스템의 문화적 이질성, 내국인 환자와의 위화감 문제, 의료시기의 적절함), 우리나라 의료서비스의 접근성(의료관련 정보의 편의성과 신뢰성, 의료기관 접근의 용이성, 의료서비스 과정의 편리성, 원활한 의사소통), 우리나라 의료서비스의 가격 적정성(보험혜택, 의료관광비용)으로 구성되었다. 관광서비스 평가는 우리나라 관광서비스의 접근성 및 신뢰성(주변 관광자원과의 연계성, 관광관련 정보의 편의성과 신뢰성, 가이드 및 에이전시의 전문성, 관련 관광 직원의 친절성, 관광지 및 관광상품의 매력, 관광지 교통시설의 접근성), 우리나라 관광서비스의 흥미 유발 및 오락성(관광경험의 재미, 가족과의 즐거운 시간)으로 구성되었다.
우리나라를 방문한 의료관광객 만족도에 어느 정도의 영향을 미치지를 확인하기 위하여 다중 회귀분석을 시행한 결과, 우리나라 의료관광객 만족도에는 의료서비스의 우리나라 의료서비스의 신뢰성, 우리나라 의료서비스의 접근성, 관광서비스의 우리나라 관광서비스의 접근성 및 신뢰성, 우리나라 관광서비스의 흥미유발 및 오락성이 우리나라 의료관광 만족도에 양(+)의 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
우리나라를 방문한 의료관광객 충성도에 어느 정도의 영향을 미치지를 확인하기 위하여 다중 회귀분석을 시행한 결과, 의료서비스의 우리나라 의료서비스의 신뢰성, 관광서비스의 우리나라 관광서비스의 접근성 및 신뢰성, 우리나라 관광서비스의 흥미유발 및 오락성과 월평균 가족소득이 우리나라 의료관광의 충성도에 양(+)의 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 우리나라의 의료관광을 이용한 의료관광객의 국적이 미국과 러시아인 경우가 우리나라 의료관광의 충성도에 음(-)의 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
이러한 요소를 기준으로 우리나라의 특화시킬 수 있는 전략으로 긍정적으로 평가받고 있지만 의료서비스 부분에서 특정한 질환에 대한 새로운 치료방법이나 의료진들에 대한 부분을 구전이나 인터넷 등에 제시함으로써 치료에 대한 명성과 또한 치료에 따른 시설이나 장비에 대해서도 소개하여 더 많은 의료관광 소비자들이 이러한 부분에서 더 높은 인식을 가질 수 있게 꾸준히 노력하는 것이 중요할 것으로 생각된다. 또한 우리나라를 방문한 의료관관객의 경우 관광서비스의 요소에 대해서도 긍정적으로 받아들인다고 할 수 있지만 의료관광산업에서 이 부분을 더 많이 신경을 쓰고 더 많은 상품을 개발하고, 이미지를 강화할 필요가 있는 것으로 생각된다.

A medical tourism as a blue ocean industry retain great potential for substantial profitability. Not only is health care the treatment and management of illness and the preservation of health through services offered to specific nationals, but it id also a part of global business provided transnational citizens.
These days the medical industry is being perceived as a highly valuable service industry that emphasizes the importance of quality. Through the efforts of the nations attempting to develop the market and create new employment, the medical field is becoming a prospective field of trade.
Medical tourism is attractive not just because the tourists can get relatively less expensive medical treatment but also because they can enjoy tours and recuperation after medical treatment in the place of medical tourism, which is more comfortable and pleasant than hospitals or facilities. Furthermore, with medical tourists from overseas, the host country can activate its tourism industry and fill the shortage of demand in the medical industry.
The purpose of the study identifies the Factors affecting Satisfaction and Loyalty of Korean Medical Tourism. This study reviewed the changes in the medical industry and open market analyzing the flow of medical policy and the various circumstances following these changes; evaluating which conditions were for the benefit of the nation while satisfying the individual. And introduces medical tourism industry sectors which mark unprecedented growth rates in the world, as well as studies on various demand and supply factors, which affect domestic and international markets, leading to the advance of the medical tourism sector in Korea.
First, as to plans to develop policies, we need to enhance people's understanding of medical tourism, prepare legal and institutional devices, expand the scope of medical advertisements, and to promote and support medical tourism in the governmental level. As to plans to develop medical tourism resources, we need to develop strategic tourist packages with price competitiveness suitable for attracting foreign patients, specialize medical tourism utilizing the so-called 'Korean Waves', raise specialized travel agencies and personnel related to medical tourism, build the infrastructure of hospitals for serving foreign patients, reinforce medical interpretation skills, and construct medical towns in environmentally clean localities.
The present study surveyed the current state of medical tourism in Korea and identified problems in it for developing competitive medical tourist packages using medical services and tourism resources, suggested future directions for the medical industry, the tourism industry and the government, analyzed the components of medical tourist packages through an empirical study, and drew out plans to develop policies and medical tourist packages. Accordingly, the results of this study can be used as basic materials for developing medical tourist packages in the future.
The important purpose of this study is that separates medical service and tour service for Factors affecting Satisfaction and Loyalty of Korean Medical Tourism.
