본 연구는 통합적 음악감상 활동이 유아의 표현능력 향상에 미치는 효과를 확인함으로써 유아교육 현장에 교육적 적용 및 효과적인 지도를 위한 도움이 되고자 한다. 따라서 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하고 이를 확인하였다.

통합적 음악감상 활동이 유아의 표현능력 향상에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?
첫째, 통합적 음악감상 활동은 유아의 음악 표현능력 향상에 효과가 있는가?
둘째, 통합적 음악감상 활동은 유아의 신체 표현능력 향상에 효과가 있는가?
셋째, 통합적 음악감상 활동은 유아의 미술 표현능력 향상에 효과가 있는가?

본 연구에서의 대상은 인천시 강화군에 위치한 N어린이집에 재원중인 종일반 만 3∼4세 유아 16명과 A어린이집에 재원중인 만 3∼4세 유아 16명으로 구성하였다. 통합적 음악감상 활동은 유아음악교육에 관련된 도서들과 선행연구에서 제시하고 있는 감상곡을 대상으로 교육연구자가 직접 계획하여 활동을 실시하였으며, 실험처치는 2010년 9월 28일(화)부터 2010년 11월 4일(목)까지 6주 동안 1주일에 2회씩 12회의 통합적 음악감상 활동을 실시하였다.
본 연구의 측정도구는 이영희(2004)가 수정한 음악 발달검사 도구를 사용하였으며 김은심(1994)가 수정, 보완한 창의적 신체 표현능력 발달검사와 최영옥(1991)이 번역한 미술 표현능력 발달검사 도구를 사용하였다. 실험 전에 두 집단의 동질성 확인을 위하여 사전검사 점수를 이용하여 t-test를 실시하였다. 동질성을 확인결과, 음악 표현능력에서 리듬표현과 신체 표현능력에서 흐름변화의 두 요인을 제외하고는 집단 간 차이가 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타나지 않았으므로(P>.05), 두 집단 간 동질성이 확보되었다. 그러나 실험 전 두 집단 간 차이가 난 두 요인에 대해서는 공분산분석을 통해 실험효과를 확인하였다. 따라서 실험실시 후 사후검사 점수를 이용하여 t-test를 실시하였다.

본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 통합적 음악감상 활동이 유아의 음악 표현능력에 의미 있는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 유아의 음악 표현능력 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
둘째, 통합적 음악감상 활동이 유아의 신체 표현능력에 의미 있는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 유아의 신체 표현능력 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
셋째, 통합적 음악감상 활동이 유아의 미술 표현능력에 의미 있는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나 유아의 미술 표현능력 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

결론적으로 본 연구에서는 통합적 음악감상 활동이 유아의 표현능력 발달에 효과가 있음이 입증되었다. 따라서 통합적 음악감상 활동을 통해 잠재되어 있는 유아의 표현능력 발달을 돕는 적합한 음악적 환경과 교육과정을 고루 갖춘 질 높은 유아교육현장이 되길 기대해 본다.

The purpose of this study examined how integrative music appreciation activities affect the development of children's expression ability, and would be helpful to the educational value and effective guidance of integrative music appreciation abilities in early childhood education fields. Thus, the research questions were set and examined as follows.

How integrative music appreciation activities affect the development of children's expression ability?
First, how integrative music appreciation activities affect the development of children's musical expression ability?
Second, how integrative music appreciation activities affect the development of children's physical movement expression ability?
Third, how integrative music appreciation activities affect the development of children's expression ability in fine arts?

The subjects in this study were composed of 16 children who were 3 and 4 years old from N child care center and 16 children who were 3 and 4 years old from A child care center, located in Gangwha-gun, In-cheon.
Integrative music appreciation activities conducted in this study, according to music books related to early childhood music education and music appreciation songs presented in the previous study and training, were carried out and prepared lesson plans by this researcher. The experiment was conducted by taking twelve lessons separately for six weeks, twice a week, from September 28 through November 4, 2010, of integrative music appreciation activities.
As for testing tools, this research used Recording Skill Development in Music modified by Lee young Hee(2004), Integrative Physical Movement Expression Ability Test modified by Kim Eun Sim(1994), and Development Test of Artistic Expression translated by Choi Young Ok(1991). Before the experiment, in order to identify homogeneity between two groups, this research conducted t-test using pre-test grades. After identifying homogeneity, except for two factors of the change of the flow in rhythm expression and physical movement expression ability, such a statistically difference was not found between two groups(P>.05). and there was homogeneity in two groups. However, ANOVA test was used for two factors which were different between two groups before the experiment.
Therefore, t-test using post-testing grades was conducted after doing experiments.

The results of this study are summarized as follows:
First, integrative music appreciation activities were that there were significant differences in children's musical expression ability, and then, had a more positive effect on the development of children's musical expression ability.
Second, integrative music appreciation activities were that there were significant differences in children's physical movement expression ability, and then, had a more positive effect on the development of children's physical movement expression ability.
Third, integrative music appreciation activities were that there were significant differences in children's expression ability in fine arts, and then, had a more positive effect on the development of children's expression ability in fine arts.

In conclusion, this study indicated that integrated music appreciation activities had a more positive effect on the development of children's expression ability.
Therefore, this study is expected that integrative music appreciation activities should be considered a practical and beneficial musical environment and educational methods and curriculum aiding the development of children's expression ability, which could be applied directly to early childhood education fields.
