Sport sponsorship has developed into a major industry in the global marketplace. It helps to build not only brand equity, but also relationships, networks, and alliances. Thus there is an increasing need for research addressing this uniqueness and identify the ways in which international and domestic corporations perceive and act on the opportunities for sponsorship investment.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences on title sponsorship activities, brand awareness, brand preference, and brand image according to demographic characteristics through professional volleyball title sponsorship. The results suggest that there is a difference on title sponsorship activities according to age and the differences on brand awareness, preference, and image according to age, occupation, and gender. Therefore, title sponsorship activities should be developed to improve brand awareness, preference, and image in the perspective of customers.
