오늘날 관광산업은 IT(information technology)기술의 발달과 대중화로 인하여 관광목적지를 방문하는 관광객들은 유/무선 인터넷을 통하여 관광정보를 매우 빠르게 습득하고 있으며, e-Tourism web site 시대에서 유비쿼터스 기술을 관광산업에 응용한 u-Tourism시대로 전환되고 있다. 특히, 정보 집약적인 관광산업에서는 모 바일 기술의 활용은 관광산업 발달의 필수불가결한 현상이 되고 있다. 최근에는 스마트 폰을 활용한 모 바일 관광정보 서비스가 속속 등장하면서 본 논문에서는 이를 측정할 수 있는 서비스 품질에 대한 척도를 개발하고자 하였다.
이를 위해 첫째, 스마트 폰을 활용한 모 바일 관광정보 서비스와 관련된 문헌연구 고찰을 통해 총 38개의 초기 측정항목을 도출하였으며, 척도개발에 필요한 이론적 토대를 마련하였다. 둘째, 선행연구를 통해 도출된 항목에 대한 내용타당성 검증을 위하여 2010년 7월부터 8월까지 약 한달 간 10명의 전문가를 통해 1차 심층인터뷰를 실시한 결과 총 35개의 항목이 도출되었으며, 이후 2차 전문가 설문조사에서는 2010년 8월 중순에서부터 9월 중순까지 21명의 전문가를 대상으로 켄달의 W검증을 실시한 결과 28개의 항목을 도출하였다. 셋째, 선행연구 고찰, 전문가 인터뷰 및 전문가 설문조사를 통해 도출된 측정항목의 실증적 적용 가능성에 대한 검증을 위하여 2010년 9월 15일부터 10월 30일까지 스마트 폰 모 바일 관광정보 서비스 사용자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 척도개발 단계에서는 차원 성 검증과 신뢰성 검증을 실시하였으며, 이후 척도평가 단계에서는 차원의 재 검증, 구성타당성 및 예측타당성을 검증하기 위하여 확인적 요인분석과 상관관계 분석 및 경로분석을 실시하였다. 이에 스마트 폰을 활용한 모 바일 관광정보 서비스품질 구성요인으로는 기능성, 정보품질, 용이성 및 유용성, 반응 성 및 공감 성, 유비쿼터스 접속성, 신뢰성 등 총 28개 항목의 6가지 차원으로 분류되었다. 첫째, 기능성의 경우 모 바일 관광정보 서비스와 사용자 간의 상호작용 기능성과 모 바일 관광정보 서비스의 전반적인 디자인과 연동 성을 의미하며 6개의 항목이 도출되었다. 둘째, 정보품질의 경우 스마트 폰을 통해 전달되는 해당 관광지에 대한 다양한 정보 및 콘텐츠 의 전반적인 품질을 측정하기 위한 차원으로 6개의 항목이 도출되었다. 셋째, 용이성 및 유용성의 경우 모바일 관광정보 서비스에 대한 사용자의 과업처리나 목적 달성에 유용한 정도 및 사용에 있어서 용이한 정도로 6개 항목이 도출되었다. 넷째, 반응 성 및 공감성의 경우 고객의 전반적인 요구 및 기대에 부응하는 서비스 정도를 의미하며 4개 항목이 도출되었다. 다섯째, 유비쿼터스 접속성의 경우 유비쿼터스 속성을 기반으로 사용자의 현 위치를 자동으로 인식하여 관광목적지에 대한 정확한 위치 및 다양한 경로정보를 의미하며 3개 항목이 도출되었다. 마지막으로, 신뢰성의 경우 사용자가 지각하는 모 바일 관광정보 서비스에 대한 확실성 및 안정성을 의미하며 3개 항목이 도출되었다. 결과적으로 스마트 폰 을 활용한 모 바일 관광정보 서비스품질 측정항목을 개발함으로써 u-Tourism 시대 흐름에 발맞추어 모 바일 관광정보 서비스의 품질수준을 정확히 측정하고 이에 따른 개선방향을 제시해줄 것으로 판단된다.

As for today's tourism industry, visitors visiting tourism destinations are acquiring tourism information very quickly through wired/wireless internet due to growth and popularization of information technology, and the times are changing from 'e-Tourism web site' era to 'u-Tourism' era which applies ubiquitous technology into tourism industry. Especially, in the information intensive tourism industry, utilization of mobile technology is becoming an indispensable phenomenon in development of tourism industry. As mobile tourism information services are appearing one after another recently, criteria to measure quality of these services are to be developed in this thesis.
To achieve this, firstly, total of 38 initial measurement categories were deduced through study of documentary research related to mobile tourism information services utilizing smart phones, and theoretical foundations required for development of index were prepared. Secondly, total of 35 categories were deduced as a result of carrying out phase-one in-depth interviews through ten experts for about one month from July, 2010 to Aug, 2010 for verification of validity of contents regarding categories deduced from preexisting researches. Subsequently, 28 categories were deduced as a result of carrying out W-verification of Kendall with 21 experts as subjects from mid-August of 2010 to mid-September of 2010 in the phase-two survey. Thirdly, a survey was carried out with users of mobile tourism information service via smart phone as subjects from Sep. 15th, 2010 to 30th. Oct, 2010 for verification regarding empirical application possibility of measurement categories deduced through study of preexisting researches, interviews with experts and survey of experts. dimensionality verification and reliability verification were carried out in index development phase, and in the subsequent index assessment phase, confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were carried out for re-verification of dimensionality, and construct validity and predictive validity. As a result, composition of mobile tourism information service quality utilizing smart phone was classified into total of six dimension with 28 categories including functionality, information quality, ease of use and usefulness, responsiveness and empathy, ubiquitous accessibility and reliability.
Firstly, the functionality signifies overall design and compatibility of mobile tourism information service and interaction functionality between the mobile tourism information service and its users. Six categories including "speed of link and connection (other sites)", "easy to return to previous step", "visual that attracts interests of the users". "quick switching of text and graphic", "mutual communication between users", and "consistency of menu composition" were deduced. Secondly, the information quality is a dimension to measure overall quality of various information and contents regarding corresponding tourism destinations delivered through smart phones and total of 6 categories including "providing of accurate tourism information", "efficient composition of tourism information", "providing of sufficient (in-depth) tourism information", "providing of useful tourism information", and "providing of tourism information appropriate and suitable to preferences" were deduced. Thirdly, ease of use and usefulness is a level of simplicity for usage and usefulness for handling of users' task and achieving purposes regarding mobile tourism information service. Total of six categories are deduced including "easy commercial usage without any special effort(description or studying)", "simplicity regarding tourism information search", "reduction of time and cost regarding tourism information search", and "simplicity of understanding tourism information" with the addition of "simplicity of mobile tourism information service download and installation" which can reflect the current state and level of technology of newly developed mobile tourism information service utilizing smart phones. Fourthly, responsiveness and empathy signifies the level of service that satisfies overall demand and expectations of customers and four categories are deduced including "providing of customized service personalized to users", "quick response to the needs and demands of users", appropriate response to customer demands", and "understanding of users' demands and interests".
Fifthly, ubiquitous accessibility signifies accurate location and diverse route information regarding tourism destination by automatically recognizing the user's current location with ubiquitous properties as a base. Total of three categories are deduced including "grasping of destination location information". "grasping of destination route information", and "possibility of usage at anytime and anywhere".
Finally, reliability signifies certainty and stability perceived by users regarding mobile tourism information service and total of three categories are deduced including "details regarding malfunctions and errors of service", "stability of tourism information service(hacking, security, privacy)", and "providing of reliable tourism information".
Consequentially, by developing service quality measurement categories of mobile tourism information service utilizing smarts phones, quality level of mobile tourism information service can be measured accurately to keep up with the flow of u-Tourism era and accordingly, direction of improvement could be provided.
