구글 위성지도로 구현한 대동여지도의 지리정보 : 강원도 지역 山城을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대표적인 고지도인 대동여지도의 지리정보를 구글 위성지도에 표현해 보고, 현재 구축된 과거 지리정보에 대한 데이터와 비교했을 때 과거에는 있었지만 현재에는 전해지지 않는 역사자원(지리정보)은 무엇인지 살펴봄으로서 사라져 가는 우리의 역사를 역사 지리정보 데이터로 구축하는 토대를 마련하기 위함이다.
대동여지도가 철저한 고증과 답사를 통해 완성된 고지도의 최고봉으로 평가받고 있기는 하지만 과거의 지리정보만 담고 있을뿐 현대지도와 어떤 차이가 있는지 한눈에 알아보기는 어렵기 때문에 과연 어떻게 해야 비교가 가능할 것인지에 대해 많이 고민했던 것이 사실이다. 그래서 연구의 방법으로 선택한 것이 고서 또는 역사복원자료 등의 고증자료를 통해 대동여지도에 표현된 지리정보에 대한 정확한 위치정보를 파악하고 이것을 최근 대중적으로 많이 활용되고 있는 구글 위성지도상에 표시하는 것이다.
본 연구는 지역적 범위를 강원도로 설정하고, 대동여지도상에 담겨 있는 여러 가지 지리정보중 산성(山城)을 대상으로 하였다. 간략한 연구단계로는, 우선 대동여지도상에 있는 강원도 지역의 산성을 찾아 데이터베이스화 하였고, 선행연구자료를 통해 각 산성에 대한 위치정보를 파악하였으며, 구글 위성지도상에 산성에 대한 상세 소개가 가능하도록 각 산성에 대한 상세 설명자료를 수집하였다. 이러한 단계를 거쳐 구글 위성지도에 정확한 위치정보와 상세 설명자료를 입력하여 '구글-대동여지도 산성 맵'을 완성하게 되었다.
대동여지도에 표시되어 있는 지리정보를 구글 위성지도 등의 현대지도에 표현이 가능하게 됨으로서 다양한 주제를 담은 지도의 제작이 가능할 것으로 기대된다. 예를 들어, 대동여지도 테마지도를 구축하여 웹 서비스를 제공한다든지, 연구를 토대로 우리 역사 복원사업을 펼쳐 이를 테마 관광자원화 할 수 있는 계기가 될 수 있을 것이다. 이것이 구축된다면 대동여지도에 표시되어 있는 14항목 22종의 각 기호별로 주제도를 만들어 역사테마 관광지도를 제작하여 대중들에게 제공하는 등의 서비스가 이루어게 되어 사라져 가는 우리 역사를 친근하게 느낄 수 있을 것이며, 나아가 대동여지도 뿐만 아니라 훨씬 이전의 정보가 담긴 고지도 등 우리나라 역사가 담긴 史料를 토대로 활용한다면 다양한 지도 제작이 가능할 것이다.

Therefore, it is to mark whether or not there is the google satellite maps that what it selected in ways of study was expressed to accompaniment space duty through old book or historical restoration data etc. historical investigation data, and it grasps correct position information regarding geography information, and is uesed as this to recent Daedongyeo-jido very much to duties.
This study set up local enemy range to Kangwon province, and I targeted mountain fortress under the various geography information that I was in to accompaniment space duties.
