The aim of this thesis is to perform a group counseling for ego-Resilience promotion program and to verify an effect on middle school students' ego-resilience and peer relation. So, this thesis selected three middle schools in J-gun, Jeollabuk-do, and confined 40 students, 1st graders, A middle school, as a control group and 38 students, 1st graders, B, C middle school, as experimental groups. This thesis performed a ego-Resilience promotion program constructed by 10 sessions, targeting at the experimental group, and analyzed the meanings of the differences of pre-post examinations by group to verify ego-Resilience program effects. Main results, attained through the study, are: first, the group counseling for ego-Resilience promotion had a significant effect on promoting middle school students' ego-Resilience and peer relation. First of all, the ego-Resilience, scrutinized by subsidiary areas, had significant differences in all areas of human relation, vividness, optimistic view, emotional control, and curiosity. Second, the peer relation had significant differences in all of the affirmative subsidiary areas such as mutual intimacy, sympathy, emotional and social support, conflict solution, popularity, satisfaction with peer relation and in conflict and confront of negative factors. The results suggest that group counseling for ego-Resilience promotion has an affirmative effect on welf-elasticity and peer relation.
