Third, with based on the former studies, it researches the aesthetic shape about the Jilbakmi(質朴美), the beauty of freshness and vividity (生動美), the Hanami(閑雅美) and the Pungryumi(風流美).
This dance was a basic curriculum at the Jinju Gyobang in Joseon Dynasty and the Jinju Kwonbeon since 1910. Today, it is a representative dance in Jinju with the deep native art.
All dancing skills and motion were handed down to Kim Su-ak from Choi Wan-ja who was the dancer in Jinju Gyobang, the royal dancer of Emperor Gojong in Joseon Dynasty and the dancing teacher in Jinju Kwonbeon. The composition of space with dancing which makes a Taegeuk line is constantly connected from beginning to end.
Gyobang Gutgeory Dance is made up of widely two parts as a Gutgeory dance with Gutgeory rhythm and a Sogo dance with the Jajinmori rhythm. Special dancing motions at the Gutgeory dance are Pyeongsawi, Whiyeongcheongsawi, Haniljasawi, Holmoksawi, Saseonhakche, Jebiche and Ggotbongorisawi, etc. And Sogo dancing motions are Hoemu, Yeonpungdae, Sogopyeongsawi, sitting-sawi, Taegeuksawi and kicking Sogo back and forth, etc.
This dance shows the Jilbakmi with the beauty of Korea which means inartificial skills, natural motions and unaffected actions. The beauty of freshness and vividity of dance represent four seasons and the power of freshness and vividity of Kim Su-ak's oral sound and Janggo rhythm give us a live feeling. Also, Kim Su-ak's oral sound lyrics create breadth of mind and Hanami with relaxing feeling.
