내현적 자기애와 사회불안 간의 관계 : 자기제시기대와 부정적 평가 두려움의 매개효과 = The Mediating Effects of Self-presentational Expectation and Fear of Negative Evaluation between Covert Narcissism and Social Anxiety

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of self-presentational expectation and fear of negative evaluation in the relation between covert narcissism and social anxiety using structural equational modeling.
Competing model was formulated and tested in order to examine the interrelationships among the study variables. CNS, SPES, FNE, SIAS were distributed to 409 college students(male; 139, female; 270).
In analyzing data, this study employed statistical terms and methods such as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, Cronbach's alpha, confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) and the structural equation model(SEM), SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 7.0 program. In clarifying the significance of mediating effects, the Sobel`s test was used.
The results of structural equation modeling supported the conclusion that the self-presentational expectation and fear of negative evaluation were partial mediators in the relationship between covert narcissism and social anxiety. On the basis of the results of the current study, implications for the counseling and suggestions for future study were discussed.
