The purpose of this study was examine the effect of the perceived social support, parents attachment and attitude of adaptation to school life on the psychological well-being of middle school students. So we diagnose psychological problem in middle school students and propose way to solve this problem. This study was done on 3 middle school 651 students in Busan. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS 12.0 statistics soft ware program.
The result of this study are follows:
First, there is significant correlation between perceived social support, parents attachment , attitude of adaptation to school life and psychological well-being of middle school student. we find themselves to be given more perceived social support are in better psychological well-being and more parent attachment are in better psychological well-being, especially in mother attachment.
Second, Among the perceived social support, more family support and more intimate friendship are in better psychological well-being.
Third, we find themselves to be given more confidence in mother, more intimate connection to father are in better psychological well-being. Especially, confidence of mother is the greatest effect to psychological well-being.
Fourth, in adaptation to school life, we find themselves to be given more motivation of school performance, intimate friendship, adaptation to school life are in better psychological well-being. Among them, motivation of school performance is the greatest effect to psychological well-being.
Fifth, Among the perceived social support, parents attachment and attitude of adaptation to school life, mother attachment is the greatest effect to psychological well-being.
Based on these result, we conclude that mother attachment, motivation of school performance and intimate friendship is very important factors in better psychological well-being. This result help to develop the educational program which solve psychological well-being of middle school students.
