    The object of this research is to examine how nurse's job stress affects the quality of life. the relationships between variables in a study of coping strategies and to examine the moderating effect of optimism.
    Gyeong-nam who work one of the University Hospital nurses in area 530 peoples of job stress of nurses to patients, Optimism Scale, the Coping Strategies Inventory, is a measure of subjective well, positive - negative emotions list(PANAS), Psychological well-being scale, Social well-being scale survey were carried out using self-report. descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, t-test, regression analysis was performed.
    According to the research questions posed in this study, obtained results are as follows:
    First, the relationship between job stress and well-being showed a negative correlation between the degree. The higher the level of job stress indicate that their well-being level is low. Second, job stress and coping strategies on moderating effects in the sense of the relationship could be identified. but directly affecting the independent variables respectively. In other words, an active coping strategy becoming well-being from the active coping strategies were starting to sense high. Finally, Optimism and a significant interaction between job stress appear similar control variables were found to be highly optimistic. Therefore, well-being of optimism and the job stress and highly optimistic about the moderating effects of job stress is high and low, and well-being of optimism to the opposite is low high job stress showed high.
    Further research there seems to be necessary that This research material in one place, Gyeong-nam University Hospital focused on nurses because of the results will indicate the limits of the external validity and generalization When you see the results of this study only, lowering job stress of nurses to enhance a sense of optimism start a new sentence well-being to promote the development, education programs and by utilizing. Working to promote nurse's optimism and active coping strategies should be developed.
