The steps taken for the research were preliminary inspection, experimental procedures, post-test, and the handling of the data were analyzed using the statistics program called SPSS 18.0 for window (Statistical Package for Social Science). The method for analysis was to use t-test and significance level of statistics at p<.05 to see the difference between before and after effects of both experimental and control groups. With the results from above, the following conclusions were made:
First, after the enforcement of creative dance program to institutionalized children, it has been shown that the four sub factors of emotional intelligence, emotion recognition and expression have improved. This helped them express their emotions and what they feel, and ability to show physical expression of motion or faces, which shows that the part of the program which educates them with imagination led them to express that they feel through physical movements.

This gave them the ability to think in the other person’s position, which shows that the part of the program which educates them to make movements by putting emotions. This factor has been improved the most of all their others.

Through stability and support of the participants, it gave comfort and code of conduct to students with uncertain sense of self.
Seventh, after the enforcement of creative dance program to institutionalized children, it has been shown that the four sub factors of self esteem, family oriented self-esteem have improved. This was a key factor that gave certain self-esteem to students. Through emphasize of their relationship with their parents, they were able to become aware of their role and appropriate behavior. This factor has been improved the most of all their others.
Eighth, after the enforcement of creative dance program to institutionalized children, it has been shown that the four sub factors of self esteem, school oriented self-esteem have improved. This factor depends heavily on the role of the teacher, and through creative dancing, they had teachers encourage trying creative movements to test their abilities, which gave them the chance to improve on their self-esteem with teachers.
The above results show that the creative dance program for institutionalized children does have positive effects on their emotional intelligence and self-esteem. Therefore, continuous research should be done of the creative dance program to develop a more systematic program to improve on not only emotional intelligence and self-esteem of institutionalized children but on their psychological factors as well.
