수학적 의사소통 능력 향상에 대한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 수학적 힘의 신장이라는 목표 아래 시행된 서술형 평가가 그 취지에 맞게 교수-학습이 체계적으로 이루어 지지 못하고 있는 현실 맞추어 수학일지와 편지쓰기를 이용한 의사소통 학습법에 대하여 연구한다.
의사소통 학습법에 대한 선행연구들을 보면 대부분이 초중등학교에서의 수행평가로 이루어져 있다. 쓰기의 의사소통 학습법은 초중등 학교에서는 큰 무리가 없어 보이나 현실적으로 입시 위주 교육이 이루어지고 있는 고등학교에서는 힘들어 보인다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고등학교 1학년 여학생 3명을 대상으로 서술형 평가 결과에 대해 학생들로 하여금 수학일지와 편지쓰기 학습법을 시행하도록 하였다. 그 결과로 쓰기의 수학적 의사소통 능력의 효과를 알아보고, 동료 피드백이 학생들 사이의 의사소통 능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴봄으로써 학교현장에서 수학일지와 편지쓰기 학습법이 수행평가로 적용 가능한지를 알아보았다. 연구의 결과로 학생들의 수학 학업 성취도, 수학적 성향, 수학적 의사소통 능력, 동료 피드백의 결과에서 나타난 특성에 대한 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 서술형 문제 풀이에 대한 교사의 피드백을 통해 수학일지와 편지쓰기 학습이 학생들의 수학적 의사소통 능력 향상과 학습 태도 변화에 도움을 준다. 이 의사소통 학습법이 혼자만의 학습이 아니라 학생과 교사, 학생과 학생 사이의 상호작용을 통한 학습이 되어 의사소통 능력에 더 효과적인 것으로 판단된다.
둘째, 학교 현장에서 수학일지나 편지쓰기 중 한 가지를 택하여 수행평가를 적용한다면 실행 가능할 것으로 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the following research, method of learning using mathematics journal and letter-writing will be researched to identify the situation where write-out test implemented under objective ‘Increase in terms of mathematical strength’ is neither performed systematically based on teaching and learning method nor meets the initial intent. Mathematic journals and letter-writing learning method regarding the result of write-out test have been carried out to 3 female year 10 students(1st year in high school) in order to identify the effect of mathematical communication and how feedbacks within students can influence others. Furthermore, whether mathematical journaland letter-writing learning method can be utilized as evaluation test at school have been identified in the research. Following paragraphs will describe the analysis result of the features shown in the research including academic achievement in terms of mathematics, mathematical propensity, mathematical communication ability, and regarding the feedbacks within students.
First of all, the result represents that through teacher’s feedbacks on write-out test solving, mathematical journaland letter-writing enhance mathematical communication ability and bring change in learning attitude in positive way.
Secondly, it is considered that if we select one of learning methods(mathematical journal and letter-writing), it can be utilized as evaluation test at school.
